  1. GFX lag from sound.

I've had this problem for a while now, when people join a server, or during heavy combat, I get split second gfx lag spikes. My fps is stable in between these momentary pauses and no other games that a run on this PC have this sort of problem. I thought it was due to a poorly optimised graphics...
  2. B Native Other Blood enhancement tweak v0.5

If you made dismemberment as well this mod would be king!
  3. Arena Melees

Haha, I did a search, and this came up first
  4. Arena Melees

The most annoying thing about the gang ups in the arena is the AI seems to think they're all on a team so they can't accidentally hit each other even though it's a free for all. So the guy furiously spamming his 2 hander gets a hit on you as he fades through his team mate just after you struck him. hnnnnggggg
  5. Bug Reports and known issues v2.3

All the textures are present in the expanded version, meaning you're having a video memory/RAM shortage. Make sure "Load Textures on Demand" is ticked in your config page before you start the game. Also, see the FAQ and the fix for 32-bit OS for something that might help your performance with large mods like this.

Is the spec pretty high then? I'm using a GT240, I would have thought that could handle this?
  6. Bug Reports and known issues v2.3

Right, so I did a fresh install of M&B. I downloaded the expanded version of the mod (whatever the latest version is in the other thread) and now I'm getting this error on start up followed by a crash to desktop.

I'm on XP, does that make any difference?
  7. Bug Reports and known issues v2.3

Is there seriously no other way to sort out that blue transitional armour crash on startup bug without downloading the expanded version? I got the basic version to save a bit of time. Has anyone found the lines of code that could be deleted to get it working?
  8. What part of this mod makes the bandits etc so difficult?

There's quite a bit to think about early game really. But yea there's plenty of advice here already. If you want a troop of hardy melee soldiers then Nordic footmen seem to take a pretty small amount of XP to get up to wearing mail. Alternatively if you want a party that moves quickly on the world map then get Khergit troops as they all live on horses. Also look out for individual characters that hang out in the taverns, recruiting them means you've got more skills in your party. You can spend your team mates points on path finding to make you faster on the world map again.
  9. GFX lag spikes.

Oh right okay, thanks for the info .
  10. GFX lag spikes.

    Bumped for help.

    Still no one knows?
  11. Shouldn't Capture-A-Lord quest cancel after peace is made?

Same thing with the kill a murderer in a village when it's been looted, seeing as you can't enter a looted village.
  12. GFX lag spikes.

I hope this hasn't already been covered, apologies if it has. This didn't happen when I first got the game but recently I keep getting a split second of GFX lag when a new player joins a multiplayer match. It's incredibly irritating when I'm about to line up a shot and there's a split second...
  13. can we put a ban on lancers please

Pikes and maybe spears should have a sort of couched mode like lances do on horse back. The dismounted character could either crouch down and hold the polearm tight to him pointing up or even stick the pike into the ground or something of the sort. It would have the same sort of speed=damage modifier as the couched lance so if a horse rides into it, it's ****ed. This would also give rise to a spear wall tactic or schiltron (sp) so ground troops working as a team could better defend against lancers.

    What do you think?
  14. Warband - why a new game?

Warband really has a brand new engine? It's feels almost exactly the same :/

Anyway I haven't read through the whole thread so feel free to stop reading my post here.

I bought M&B off of steam a few months ago for £4 because it seemed like my sort of bag. I was right and I've absolutely loved the game ever since. I saw they were bringing out an expansion (what I thought was an expansion) So I was even more exited at the prospect of official content being added. The game was released for £25 and I pondered about buying it. Looking at the screenies and description it sounded like MP was the only real extension to the game and also I realised at that point it was a stand alone game so I could understand the price. I gave the trial a quick bash and straight away figured it was just the same game with bump maps and HDR. I mean, isn't it? I thought to myself, hell I'm not paying £25 for that when there's so many great mods the community have made for free. But then I figured, this game is awesome and I only paid £4 for the original so I reckon the company deserves my money, especially considering they aren't some big shot mainstream company so they'll appreciate my money more. And that's still how I feel. I paid the extra money, not because I thought it was worth it in it's self but my enjoyment of the original/series warranted me giving taleworlds some more money for it.

Anyway, the game is awesome still. Can't wait for mods for the new engine. And I'm dead pleased with the online play. Good job.
