  1. Radziwill's Rebellion

But Radziwill gives you a quest to capture Kiev?
If he has given you the quest to capture Keiv you must take in order to succeed, otherwise you can just leave it.

What are your thoughts about caravan forts? I find that the AI is quite good at firing against them, so they dont seem to provide significant protection, while making the defending forces act cumbersomely and IMHO, not firing effectively. In my experience, when I tried to defend inside one, the result was bad, while I usually get great results when attacking them.

It would be better if your guys crouched while reloading, then popped out.
Strange... I have a Swedish army made up of about 75% riflemen and the rest infantry. I put the infantry at the rear and order my riflemen to fire at will. Then all the army's in the land die.

I have like a 0% success rate in disguising myself into towns/poisoning water supply. So I usually just blow a hole in their walls lol.
The bigger your army the lower your disguise chance.

I have another question about Kiev though (sorry for the double post). Do I have to conquer it before the rebellion succeeds? Or can I just conquer it at my leisure? (There's only one more Polish lord and Polish city that hasn't been captured, and Kiev is still being held by the Cossacks, who I want to stay on good terms with).
You only have to take the Polish lords and the towns that are directly under Polish rule.
  5. Developers please respond.

    QWW 说:
Yes, I agree. The worst part is that they don't seem to be paying attention. They must have time to check the forum about the game they made to see what people are saying and thinking. Then maybe incorporate some stuff.
I remember having this discussion about 3 months ago, it's kinda sad that they still will not talk to us.
  6. WTF Russia

I think if a lord is staying at your castle or town you can arrest them. But I'm not sure.
I don't think so. I have had plenty of lords at my castle and I couldn't arrest them.

Hussars decide the fate of many wars. I do not know better cavalry unit in world history.

Yeah, they were awesome. Too bad they couldn't catch up with the German tigers during WW2 though.

There's some rumors Swedes called them "Charge of the seagulls" back then or "The massacre of the seagulls" (I'm talking about 1655 era) they were gunned down like firebirds.
    Ouch...
  13. Tsar's Mercies

I knocked them out with my bare hands
  14. Advice for a young adventurer

    Helmuth 说:
The looting skill works the same as warband:

In general all regular soldiers will get one share, your hero companions will get three shares each, and as the leader you will get ten shares of the loot.

Increasing looting skill doesn't gives you more loot, instead increases the QUALITY of it. At 0 skill you get mostly cracked items, at 2-3  bent , at 4-5 normal ones, 6-7 reinforced, etc. Thus is OK to have a companion with loot as a skill (like priest spasokutotsky), he will reduce the amount of loot you get but will give you better and more expensive items.
When raiding villages the looting skill doesn't affect affect how much items you get but how many cattle instead, and also allows to raid faster.
    I see
  15. Advice for a young adventurer

No you only get less money if your army is larger. The loot amounts is dependant on your looting ability.

In every Mount&blade title, cavalry is overpowered and when you get a decent company of cavalry NOTHING can stop you,it gets boring having to watch your Winged hussars or Asak-beys dominate everything. They rip infantry to pieces,if I understand Pikemen are supposed to STOP cavalry dead, they aren't supposed to be dominated by an oglan this hard.On the maximum difficulty I could get a 150 men battle of my 20 hussars vs. 130 infantry and cavalry always ends up with me having 2 casualties max. There should be a system to injured/killed horses,if you shoot a guy in the head he dies 99% of the time (him not being an npc character)

Historically, hussars had very low lossess during charges, in a charge of 200-250 hussars against thousands of infantry (with muskets and cannons) they were expected to lose 10 men. That was somewhat changed during Polish-Swedish war of 1626-1629 (which was their fifth and not the last war in that century), when in their first lost battle hussars lost 50 men, though it was due to extremely concentrated fire, especially from canister shots of Swedish cannons. But then the Swedish army had the highest density of cannons and muskets of these times, and they had almost no cavalry (like 10% at most).

Pikemen couldn't stop hussars, and you have no cannons. 2 casualties vs. 130 infantry is still somewhat high, when comparing to historical data. The reason why your casualties are so high (comparing to real world, again)  is the bad algorithm for lancers in the game - instead of using sabers after the initial charge, they often tend to use lances. Even when dismounted. This is the same as in Warband, but in Warband lancers often had no swords, so couldn't use them anyway.

Anyway, I must admit that you are faring better than me, because I always lose most of hussars, on normal difficulty, against crap (but numerous) marksmen or infantry. I use less of them (1-10), because they die easily and I cannot replenish them, and I even don't want to replenish them, because they die easily. I'm sure they die due to the AI fluke I have described. Why it isn't working that way in your case - I don't know. And in my game pikemen are quite better against cavalry than you describe. Maybe it is down to numbers, or composition.
    QWW where are the stakes?

  19. Contract

In my trawling of this forum people keep mentioning mercenary contracts with lords lasting like 3 months. I have never come across anybody offering me any form of contract. How do you get one offered to you then?
  20. Your own faction

    probably not.
