    On balancing, faction strength, and similarity in troops.

    As was mentioned earlier the new and old factions are counterparts to each other but it seems to me that the main over arching difference between these counterparts is how specialized versus well rounded they are.
    e.g.
    Vaegirs vs Villianese: though both are archer based armies villianese is more specialised toward archers than vaegirs. in a vaegir army you could take out all the archers and still have a workable if weakened army. however if you take out the archers in a villianese army and the army is fairly useless by comparison to the vaegir army.

    having said this though they're is a very basic imbalance between the old factions and the new such as the lack of noble and faith troops.

    the issue here is that WFaS has nothing new that you couldn't get in a warband mod often times done better in said mod. they also tore out a lot features that were seen in warband which in my book is completely indefensible when no one complained about them and many people actually praised them. I mean can anyone actually tell me something that WFaS did better than Warband and Warband mods cause I'm not finding it and if it does exist its probably buried so deep you'd need an industrial sized sh*t shovel to find it

    The realism argument is already established as BS not only are there female companions but they had females in warband and female warriors were even less likely in feudal society than they are in the time period of WFaS.  Also anyone who says its because they based it off historical events is ignorant since tales world sold WFaS as being based off a novel a work of fiction. and lastly to head off anyone who starts arguing that  the novel is based off real events that argument doesn't hold any water because the nations of calradia were based of real societies in history but Calradia is still a fictional land and it still has female characters. Also on the point of them adding features i believe I already said that you don't get points for adding stuff when you tear out more stuff than you added

    You could also take into account that it saves them time as they don't have to make female versions of every armor. Though it would have been nice if they had.. even if just for multiplayer.
    That used to be a problem, but now it can be done in like 20 seconds with OpenBRF's new auto-feminizing feature for armor. So it is no longer a legitimate excuse.

    Then make a mod if you wanna play as woman-general.

    Its not just about playing as a female its about the principle of the matter. Its about talesworld believing that tearing out features is okay and that giving us BS excuses will placate us so they don't have to do they're jobs and fix the problem.

    I second this gun play in with fire and sword isn't as balanced as it is in SOD:warlords. honestly there is very little in WFaS that SOD:Warlords doesn't have and almost nothing it does better matter of fact he only thing I can think of that I like in WFaS over SOD is the appointments but pretty much everything else is better in SOD.

    I'm pissy cause they tore out the awesome old character creation set up you can't even choose gender anymore. I mean what on earth made them think tearing out options was a good idea you'd have to try to be stupider than that.

    I second the idea for an indicator though this really should be in the suggestions thread. A good example of such an indicator is in the gathering storm mod. I do not however like the idea of a map I've always liked the challenge of having to work out tactics while only being able to use your own eyes

    I also find that javelins tend to be overpowered to I think this is caused by the fact that javs get speed bonus unlike other ranged weapons so in addition to they're base damage they get a a bonus for they're movement which is natural going to be high since it a projectile which makes them especially broken against cav charges since they get the speed bonus of they're movement plus your movement allowing them to kill either you or your horse in one hit

    This happens to me a lot too once I get an army going. Correct me if I'm wrong on this but you probably have a really low possibly non-existent spot and pathfinding right that means bandits will see farther than you and there smaller groups almost certainly run faster so bandits will tend to see you and run away before you ever see them if you have a much larger army

    The faith boosting buildings don't seem to work I've had them in 2 villages and a town for a month now and the number of people who follow my faith haven't increased in fact they've dropped from 7 to 0

    The polearm bonus towards horses is not even on. It'll say the words for it but no extra damage is applied. I already decided to remove it.

    ok then is something else going on or am I just that horribly unlucky because 15 Elite Javelin throwers should not be able to do that to 9 Ashadok knights
