If you could replace the Spathas in the game with better models I'd be very glad, especially if they have scabbards that work. The Hrunting model is not great, either. It should look more like a real dark ages sword.

I found his party. Killed them. Completed the quest. Got a piddling 300 schillangas and when I asked for another job, got the same quest again. Obviously couldn't complete it because I'd handed over the horn already, so resigned the quest. Now the Rheged king won't give me any of the following quests.

All things considered, this quest was a waste of time.

I'm trying to do this quest. I've got the horn from the cave but Iniau's party ran away from me and I couldn't catch up to them. Lost sight of them and couldn't find them again so I used the cheat to reveal all parties - and I still can't find them. Anyone have any ideas?

I tried ending the quest by telling the king I couldn't do it, but I couldn't restart it by talking to him again.

Of course, but +1 party size per charisma level, plus another +1 party size per level of leadership skill gives you a few extra troops since you have to level up and increase charisma a few times before you can get another level of leadership. All the while gaining renown and levelling up your other companions. It all adds up.

Leadership is very important, though. It reduces the wage bill by 5% per skill level.

Charisma also increases base party size, I believe.

The NPC lords are all stone-cold badasses. Just got to keep fighting and levelling up.

I had this happen yesterday. I had 220-odd troops in my castle and when I returned to it later a load were gone, down to 165-ish. Could we have an official statement on how this works? I lost some good troops.

Angle, Saxon and Jute troops are basically the same. Welsh/Briton infantry are fine, I use loads of them. Command your army properly and you'll win if you've picked your battles. Welsh/Briton cavalry are nasty but very expensive. It costs 2000 schillangas to upgrade a light cavalryman to an elite cavalryman.

Welsh/Briton archers are nasty, though, and if you have villages with high relationships with you, you often get the first tier bowman instead of the peasant when you recruit from there.

I've spoken to Chonchobor or whatever his name is, off to Canterbury to talk to Mordred's whelp, then searched all over to find Chonchobor again, and that seems to be the end of the Treasures of Britannia. How do I find any of these things?

He's in your village, you'll spot him because he's the well-dressed bloke standing still. Just search round the village, he's in there.

The land buying interface tells you the buying and selling price of land per acre, but I can't see any way to sell an acre I own. Is it actually possible?

I don't think you can. This isn't Warband and I don't think you can create nobles to serve you.

Only compared to later swords. Even the spatha-type cutting swords were still good for thrusting. Just not as good for it as something like a gladius.

As Finch says, the option to send a velvet caravan isn't there because you can't afford it. The game doesn't display options you can't afford in this screen. When you look at the market, see how expensive velvet is? That's a crazy high price for that stuff. Find a town where it's about 100 thaler and then send a caravan to Moscow. Moscow loves velvet and you'll get a good profit from it. For a large caravan at around 100 thaler a unit you need about 8,000 thaler to start the caravan.
