  1. My guide to trading, caravans, and making horrible amounts of money (WFAS)

Money is indeed easier to come by in this game, but in return if you go down the mercenary route, hiring from merc camps etc, you will eventually rack up quite a cost.

For example: my mercenaries are currently costing me a insane 500 thaler per week!
    Fine ok, thats not insane.

But if I lose a batch of my mercs hiring new one costs about 20k for 10 of them due to the upgraded equipment I've given them.
Not to mention that I've probably spent about 500k on hand-crafted equipment for myself
  2. My guide to trading, caravans, and making horrible amounts of money (WFAS)

Buying velvet for roughly 100-150 thaler in poltava and stashing them in your inventory, then selling them back one at a time to the goods vendor whenever you wish to send a caravan = / = grand profit.

Oil caravans from warsaw / riga can net you a fine 10-15k profit if you sell it to moscow or ryazen.
Velvet caravans from poltava can net you abit over 130k profit if you sell to the northwestern cities such as Vyborg or Novogrod.

Oh also, getting the trade permit quest gives you a minor bug, you recieve the profit twice at that point, first when you reach the destination and the second time when you confirm that the "sneaky mayor" 'forgot' to tell you about the certificate.

Anyway, gather up about 1m Thaler and stash it in a city as soon as possible, then go about with your bussiness, each month you'll recieve a 14% intrest on that 1m. (20% if you are the owner of the city).

Also, due to the low weekly cost of the mercenaries, you might want to consider picking up a full army as soon as possible to eliminate the bandit threat(and thus being able to use ctrl+space efficiently!)
  3. Got kicked for my beliefs.

While people on the 'net are idiots and use anonymity to let their ugly sides show, that doesn't explain why you're discussing politics in game server.

Best advice?  Don't bring up the topic and/or don't participate in the stupidity if it is already going on.

But by giving him that advice you open up for the classic "But I'm also entitled to an opinion!" comeback, while true, it also means squat.

In return however you can easily counter that comeback by responding that "Yes, you are entitled an opinion but you are not necessarily entitled to vent said opinion on a server you do not own."

That in return means that the response most likely will be "But that is stupid, they called him <this> and <that> and I really believe that <cookies are awesome>!"

It will go on and on about how one side is cheering for the servers rights to remove anyone who does not share their views, and the other side going bananas over how free speech should apply.

However in the end what we can most certainly determine from all this is the following:

You are connected to the internet where you were occupied with "playing" a game with a multiplayer aspect, you were a visitor on a server.
Now this alone sums up bringing up politics simply silly, but add to it that you obviously did discuss politics with them in some form and that you after being removed for doing so went and made a topic about it, makes it all just oh so delicious.'
As far as we know, you might've been removed from the server for doing something else that you simply weren't allowed to do, perhaps you were blocking the ladders?

We know nothing about the actual incident other than your own asumption.

Mine is the complete package deal from steam.

See, there's the problem. My number is saying that I made 400 gold profit.

    this!

I've been trying to do some trading but regardless of what I buy, I get a "profit", but the gold spent on the caravan is nowhere to be seen wich means I make a massive loss each time around.

System kinda has me baffled so far.
  6. Who's going back to Warband?

Well I myself always enjoyed making my own nation the most so the lack of that feature, along with marriage, is a big setback for me in F&S, but at the same time I truly enjoy the new recruiting method and the game definitly has potentional altho it most certainly has some flaws it need to work out.
  7. I really disaprove of the way this is being sold to unsuspecting consumers

    Drift 说:
I bought the first Mount & Blade, then when warband released, I was going to buy it as well, until I realised they were charging full game price for what was in effect an expansion. People defended it by saying that Mount & Blade was selling cheap up till that point, so warband was like the "full" version. Fair enough.

However, it's happened again, now 1 full priced game, and 2 full price "game" expansions have been released, and it's just getting silly. Just to nail in the point that consumers are being scammed, they're selling a "complete" pack of all three on Steam! WTF? They're not different games, each one is an expansion charged at full retail price which includes all the content from the previous one. Any poor consumer who actually buys that "complete" pack is going to be pissed as soon as he realises that he just bought the same game 3 times with various amounts of content.

    Not impressed by this.

I actually bought native, warbands and fire and sword for a grand amount of 14€, compared to the "full price" of most games wich is around 40-60€.
