    Early or Late of MARCH?

    Haven't heard of any so far.
    I was thinking of restarting mine, but in the end I decided not to since Elder scrolls mechanics don't translate well into M&B (at least not for what I had in mind).
    I was brainstorming one myself and I think I pretty much came to the same conclusion, if I could figure out a system of vassalage so that you could have a Kingdom of Daggerfall or something under the Empire's rule, I might consider it, but otherwise the idiosyncrasies would drive me mad.

    Fantasy mods ideas, start tripping (SP/MP)

    I'm thinking about trying to put together a TES mod. Start it out with just a sandbox mode at a nondescript point in the late 2nd Era. In later versions add on additional features and make the campaign explicitly set during Tiber Septim's rise to power, starting with him as a general to King Cuhlecain and then gaining the throne to start off the Tiber Wars.

    What I really want mentioned is family, death & inheritance. It was not mentioned anywhere in the description if I'm not mistaken, and having that from the start of EA would be very nice. It's one of the most game changing new features imo.

    Completely agree with the family stuff with death.

    I think that might be included, the Steam info says players will be able to "manage their own clan".

    Who are in the clans?

    In the player's clan I think is just your companions and your family, so yeah, you, your children, your siblings and their kids (I think they've confirmed you can also start the game with siblings and nieces/nephews). As for marriage, not sure if they'll switch to being in your clan, or stay in their original clan.

    I like the clan system, it makes the game feel more long-term, and also adds in the bonus that I feel like the game is going to be more about relations between clans so much than relations between particular characters.

    Changing center leader/merchant races mid-game. (RESOLVED)

    No, I've already done that. What I'm trying to do is get it so that if a Dwarven kingdom, to use your example, conquers a Human city/village, the Guild Master/Elder/Armorsmith/etc. will dynamically change to be dwarves without editing the game.

    I've noticed a greviously idiotic error in the previous example (I was checking the kingdom against the culture, not the culture against the culture), fixed it, but still not working- Dwarven villages are switching to have Human elders when under the control of a Dwarven kingdom, and human kingdoms aren't switching to dwarven leaders ever.

    Here's the code for the villages, which is what I'm working on, since it's much shorter than the aforeposted town code.

    EDIT: Once again, I sighted a grevious error (I wasn't telling the :center_culture part to check the culture), fixed it, and it is now working flawlessly.

    Just threw this into my module system, I think you forgot to define 'custom_troop_begin/end'. Entirely possible I'm an idiot and am missing it, though. Easy to fix, but any special places they should be defined?

    I think I implemented this correctly- the presentation appears and all my stuff is properly my own heraldry- but the heraldry doesn't get assigned to any of my troops.

    Hoping this gets updated to 1.151.\

    EDIT: Actually, I hadn't realized you'd changed the initialize banner script. Once I discovered those changes and threw them in, it works perfectly. A few errors when you mod your banner mid-game, but nothing too unexpected.

    I was just wondering if anyone had actually re-coded the custom banner system that we see in things like Fire Arrow, Sword of Damocles, etc. into Warband. I've tried myself to do it several times, but I fail every time.

    Is it worth it? Not yet, if you already have Warband. If you spot it on sale on Steam or such, then by all means, grab it. It's only going to get better as they port over Warband stuff.

    Is it worth it if you don't have Warband?... I'd say, for now, get Warband.

    No, you legally cannot. First off, it probably couldn't work, because they definitely use Warband resources that probably weren't included in With Fire and Sword. Second off, if said mod included Warband resources with it, that's illegal for you to use. And it's built on Warband module system, which is, surprise surprise, illegal to use in WFaS.

    Logically, the only way to play Warband mods is with Warband. Despite legality, as with the first reason above, you wouldn't have Warband resources that the game required. The only way to get said resources is to get Warband, at which point, it's simply much easier to play the mod on Warband and not on WFaS.

    How to determine what kingdom a pretender is fighting

    Script Initialize_NPCs, I believe. Scroll down a bit and you'll find the block where they set the pretender original factions.

    There's probably some more work to do there, though. I don't know, but you may have to move all THIS pretender's dialog to the end of the respective trees, or it may get out of loop. But try changing it and see if it works.

    Winged Hussars lack wings, Poland is broken etc

    Well, you began the Poland storyline, which is why that option disappeared. Play a few story missions into it, and you'll get the chance to join the faction.

    As far as why the Hussars have no wings, I have no idea. Graphical bug?
