  1. Caravans for Beginners

Another thing to note is that the bigger caravans are more profitable, because you will notice there is a base amount paid for the caravan then added on top is what you pay for the items it carries, you pay a smaller base price the larger the caravan. For example for this velvet caravan I made I calculated the base price for the caravan and got 3363 thalers for a small caravan, 3089 thalers for a medium and 2678 thalers for a large caravan.
  2. Succession Game/Communal AAR: Ogdelbur

    Chapter 3B

Ogdelbur joined the tournament in sargoth and lasted two rounds before being beaten when ganged up on by four enemies in the third round. He then left Sargoth in anger and went back to vaegir territories to find some bandits to kill.

Boyar Mleza was spotted with only 5 men remaining fighting some 60 taiga and sea bandits, Ogdelbur saw a perfect oppurtunity to gain some reputation and become friends with Mleza. Tragedy struck though as Ogdelbur was defeated and carried off in chains when only 8 taiga bandits were left. Almost instantly he escaped with only his equipment 11000 denars and some food.

Quickly Ogdelbur fled towards Reyvadin and away from this bandit rich area. Upon reaching Reyvadin he had gathered a few recruits and seeing a new tournament signed up only to be taken out by a double couched lance attack by two enemies. Gathered some 15 recruits and decided to try and loot the khergit village of bhulaban to release anger. Peasants were suprisingly resilient and managed to drive Ogdelbur off.

He then went and recruited some more men and went to the nearby training grounds, unfortunately attacked by bandits on the way and had to sacrifice 3 men to escape. Arrived at training grounds where he whipped his men into shape and also came up with some ideas for training in the field so he would not have to come back here to train his men outside of battles.

Saw Boyar Harish traveling and followed him to Jerlibe castle where there was a feast going on and gave him his tax money. Then returned to Reyvadin where he discovered Rolf and welcomed him back into his party with the warning not to abandon him again.

Headed to Bhulaban again and past sungetche castle and fought some bandits, then chased bhulabans villagers towards Khudan where Boyar vuldrat helped corner and defeat them. Afterwards offered to help Vuldrat with his bandit problem. Then went looking for hideout.

Hideout was found and attacked where the bandits were destroyed down to the last man and the hideout burned down. Now part of his vengeance on the bandits who defeated him was complete, now only the sea raiders remained. Then headed back to Khudan to see if Vuldrat was there to report to him. Upon arriving at Khudan recieved message from the marshall calling Ogdelbur to report in and bring troops with him.

  3. Succession Games

I would say realistic saving cos we are going to be overwriting each others work essentially anyway. Plus I think it would be better if we werent constantly reloading to try and get the best possible result, but just stuck with the result we get. Plus that way this might last longer and it would be more interesting.
Also what difficulty should we be on. Some things would have to be varied like battle size as just cos some of us can easily run large battles on our computers doesnt mean we all do. But at the very least we can sort out the combat and battle ai's, I would vote for a medium level of difficulty but with maximum damage on both the player and allies
  4. Succession Games

Ive yet to actually try any mods so I will just go with what you guys choose in that regard
  5. Succession Games

well how about if say you put the save file on say megaupload and then dont take it off until the next person has put their updated one up so the file isnt lost, also maybe make it so that a person has say 2 days real time to do their 7-14 days in game time and if they dont then someone else takes over and does that save instead. Realistically deleting the file after someone else has gotten it would be kind of daft as even if they arent someone trying to ruin it accidents can happen and thus it would be best to keep a backup, so say copy the file put it up on megaupload and keep both copies until the newer updated one is put up and confirmed. That seems logical to me anyway
  6. Succession Games

Hmm this sounds interesting. How long would a session be? in game time one day wouldnt be enough per person to really do anything and 30 would be too large. Maybe 7-14 days?
  7. Recruiting lords in a Rebellion.

Ive been able to request the lords change to my side more than once. Though what I cant change though is the recruiting line you know where you tell tehm why they should join eg, reward them with fiefs or uphold the ancient laws, that kind of thing. But otherwise you can keep asking but you cant reask straight away you need to wait awhile, no idea how long though, didnt think to count the days
  8. Who Did You Marry?

    The lady Ruha

Her father is Belir noyan so theres political reasons
Also Ruha has always for me been one of the best dressed girls (ie not wearing a fur coat or some cheap looking thing)
Plus its always a bit of a challenge as a) you need quite a bit of renown for belir to accept you plus narra is prone to being taken by the sarranids if your not careful, so belir might leave taking his daughter with him
    b) i usually takes a lot of work to make her elope as she is pretty loyal to her family
  9. Training question

Thanks Aure a bit confusing but I see where your coming from.

    HolgerHardrada 说:
Fierkraag, do you have any companions that use trainer skill?  It stacks with yours, so if any are below 33% at midnight recruits will get less exp than usual.

HolgerHardrada I do have companions with training skills yes but my question wasnt to do with them as it was more why some units leveled when others didnt despite coming from same place and getting same exp.

    Occam 说:
    I just tested it.

I recruited a Sarranid, asked about his skills, and wrote down his xp (3359).
Then I quit without saving, recruited from the same village (got 4 both times), and asked about skills again. This time the recruit had 3042xp (next level for both was 3426).
Thanks Occam that must be where the problem originates from I didnt think to check their exp.
Recruits start with different amounts of xp.
  10. Training question

Hi about the training skill. Everywhere I look says it gives the same amount of exp to every member of your party who is a lower level than you and yet sometimes all recruits level up in one night of getting them, sometimes some will level up but not others all taken from the same village at the...
