  1. Resolved Is Konane board game deiberately made impossible to beat?

Forwarded to the QA team for further investigation. We will reach out again if we need more information. Thanks for reporting and sorry for any inconvenience!
Hope you can find out something soon because this game is absurdly hard-mode. I've now done 20 game in a row, and lost each one.
  2. Trained Troops Can't Be Delivered?

It might be. Try donating them to the garrison. I don't actually remember how that quest is supposed to finish.
Can't donate, since I'm not part of the faction. I am doing it for rep because I don't want to over pay for his daughter as my wife.

The only options I'm getting are the following.
    1. I'm still out recruiting.
    2. I need more time to find proper men.

I am finished with this quest but he won't take the troops so I am forced to fail or restart from an earlier save. How are these quests still busted after all this time?
  3. Trained Troops Can't Be Delivered?

I was asked to deliver 8 Battanian Skirmishers, I have 8/8 available but there is no option to deliver them to the commander of the garrison? Is this a busted quest?
  4. Pikeman Perk

Does the Pikeman Perk from the Polearms Tree work on both mounted and dismounted? Cavalry says the bonus is for polearms only when mounted but the Pikeman Perk doesn't specify that it is only for dismounted.
  5. Make companions join with all perks unassigned.

No idea why this isn't already in the game.
  6. Player Max Level Is LESS Than AI Level

The highest level possible is currently 32, if you max, just the right things in just the right way, most of us won't. The Battanian Champion is level 31. Is this being fixed? Or is every player character second fiddle to Battanian Fian Champions for most of the game? Who decided to hobble the...
  7. Does Anyone Have Base Trade Goods Prices

I am not aware of any base price list, however when you initially start trading (almost blindly), you gain experience and then you are able to see the potential profits when you hover over a certain good.
Initially, look at a few items in your starting town, then go to the next town and see which items you might make profits on then trade. Then when you gain experience, choose the perk that allows you to see "Marked profits".
There is a base price per item. Take one of each, go to a bandit base, win the battle and you'll have the base price of each trade good.
  8. High level armor feels so worthless.

I'm wearing chainmail and chain helmet and I'm getting knocked out cold by looters with rocks in 2 hits. This is a serious mental malfunction. I came back to the game after almost 2 years, I guess I'll come back in another year and see if they've programmed the stupid out of the game.
  9. Does Anyone Have Base Trade Goods Prices

Every Trader will find his towns, that's the fun of the game. What I need are the base prices of Trade Goods. War Band had them, all you had to know was the base price and then you worked around that. You searched for things below base price and sold over base price. Anyone know if there is a...
  10. What Is The Best Cavalry 1H Sword (Currently)

Why is my Tempered Good Broadsword so much better than a hand-crafted Broadsword? And my Tempered Scottish Broadsword is even better. If I ever find a Masterwork, it will be the most expensive sword they can craft? Seriously?
  11. What Is The Best Cavalry 1H Sword (Currently)

I saw this question before but it was last answered in 2011 and I'm not sure if those answers are still valid.
  12. Not All Companions Are Created Equal!!

Some companions are great and some are a dumpster fire. Knowing which ones are more valuable may help you determine whom you wish to have in your party and what value they represent. I hope this breakdown helps all of you. The following is my methodology, I combined the total level (negative,)...
  13. Where to buy tar for building my ship

Go to Norway, the main city sells tar by the boatloads.
  14. How to marry hild ?

Visit her, do quest for her, get the relationship to 100.
  15. Soapstone

    zanzal 说:
I will recommend a book for you: "The Value of Things" + 1 trade. Soapstone at 350 is an opportunity to make money.

Buy a keg of ale cheap in towns (< 170 some places) and trade it for the soapstone. The ale may even be worth more than 350, then sell the soapstone in a town for 320.. You'll make money off that trade because you profited from the sale of the ale and took a tiny hit on the soapstone. In general villages will pay more for some items than most towns, so you can use this strategy with villages that sell silver/amber/wine/etc at prices that would at face value prevent you from making a profit.. Instead of losing money you'll make so much money you won't be able to spend it all. Villages are essentially free money no matter how much they charge for the items you can't lose. Works for farms and mines as well, they'll consistently pay top dollar for several different items, even more than some towns will pay.

If you are really a mizer or you need/want to limit your trade to a small area you can make your own ale or whatever item you want to use buy the materials cheap in villages and and sell the end product at crazy profits, but I find it less hassle to be more mobile and just let the farmsteads manage themselves.
I think you misunderstand. I know how trade works. But having to intentionally take a loss because you want the village to produce goods that will give you a profit is still a bad thing. If a good is produced by a village it should be cheaper than what you can get for it from a town. Or it should disappear when there is no one willing to pay for it.
  16. Battle of Aescendun

    scar1981 说:
The best tactics for me is gathering my men into shield-wall  just near spawning point of allied forces. During the battle I face 3-4 enemy attacks on my shield-wall but usually when enemy looses half of men he starts back pedaling.  I never chase the retreating not to get into trouble because their reinforcement can appear from my back. Only 1-2 times when enemy shooters remain I use "10 steps forward/10 steps back" to finish them off, after that return my men into the line. Shield-wall must stand as one and mostly you have to wait and enjoy the show.
What I find most annoying is that you can't control all the troops. The enemy is a cohesive unit but yours are not. So while their shield-wall stands as one, yours stands and 2 or 3 separate units.

It´s the whole thing in one go. Reinforcements will keep coming till one of the sides run out of them.
So how long does this battle normally last, 2 or 3 hours?
  18. Battle of Aescendun

How long is this battle supposed to last? Do we not get any rest? How many reinforcements (new enemies)? Is this just one of those command from behind kind of battles?
  19. Observation: Catch and Release Is Better

Checked it, nope, it's still the same. -3 for capture and +10 for release, for a total +7 bonus.
It seems like you're only looking at the relations changes that happen when you very first capture (and possibly release) an enemy noble. Wait around for a bit, then meet and talk to a previously captured lord again.
I have, now if one of these ****ers loots one of your villages, then your relations are going to go into the toilet. But that won't have anything to do with the catch and release. Or some other reason for a relations drop.

There is the next meeting to consider as well, honorable lords will thank you again if you release then and give another bonus, ass** lords will give a large penalty if released.
Really? Hadn't noticed that. But I haven't captured enough lords. Which lords with what description give you a huge penalty? Or did a lord with a negative relation just go up to a lesser negative relation?
When the lord says "call back your dogs" when defeated and he is released he will give another penalty next time you meet him, if he says "i yeld, grant me the honors of war and yourself credit" and he is released he will thank you again next time you meet him and give a small bonus if you're still at war and a better bonus if at peace.
Checked it, nope, it's still the same. -3 for capture and +10 for release, for a total +7 bonus.
