    Strange mine used to be able to play about 600 men before lagging.
    now sieges and battles 1000 men and no lag now

    Controller Support?

    Hi people! Harvesting season is upon us! I have been having some carpal tunnel issues for the last year or so and was wondering if controller support will be there in EA for those of us that would have a really tough time playing with mouse and keyboard. If the devs are reading this, some games I have played that were originally designed for keyboard and mouse that have alot of functions like mount and blade and added some great controller support eventually are ARK, and The Forest. I'm sure others probably have some other better examples as well. If anyone has any info on this feature and if/when it will be available it would be appreciated. Thanks! Merry Harvest to all! ...I'll be sleeping early tonight as it unlocks in my region at 6:00 AM tomorrow! Feels like god daanged christmas up in here!

    I do see on the steam page "Several planned single player features may be missing or incomplete. These include but are not limited to: full game controller support" So I am hoping that means we may be able to control our character and fight with controller, but more advanced features we will have to use keyboard, which would be great and save my wrists from a lot of pain. If anyone knows more about this please update.

    I used DS4 with my ps4 controller remapped a couple of buttons and it works fine for basic orders , got it as

    R1 is swap weapon
    up DPad swap shield
    F1 is L1
    F2 is left Dpad
    F3 down Dpad
    F4 Right Dpad
    PS button is everyone
    left touch pad is inf
    right touch is archers
    both together is cav
    X is square button


    pretty basic but can form shieldwalls etc move soldiers around easy enough cant do any of the advanced formations F5 and above.
    It serves a purpose for now

    Well thats just Bull****. MP is fine as it is and we have no idea about SP anyway
    Agreed , MP good and Enhanced battle test been good, Ea gonna bring a open world and alot more scenarios/soldiers/quest/ what can go wrong ?

    He has been there a bit, and two days ago he was actively sending beta keys out to people with forum accounts that were older than the beta, if they had not already gotten beta access, but yes, i seems like he has been less active.

    If the gameplay is nothing more than what we saw in Gamescom 2019. i will play the game for thousands of hours.
    That's the truth , its a unique game whether its now or two years from now the game is going to be epic, and when the modders get thier hands on the right tools im looking forward to what they can do,

    Im not worried, its an EA release, cant see any reason at all why they would postpone it, unless it was so broken that there was nothing in it to play. My guess is that the silence are due to several factors, crunch, to delivers as good an EA launch as possible and the corona virus making some things harder to get done. Also they have said that because its an EA release, they dont want to advertise it or hype it up, as they think that would do damage to the game and its actual launch.
    I understand why they don't want to hype it , and really don't understand people complaining about the price when the company themselves have actively told you not to buy the game unless you'll willing to go through Bugs etc.
    Just the fact that usually you see Callum reply to a couple of short comments throughout the week and I've not seen him active at all(maybe I've missed him and he has replied to a few people) is getting me a bit twitchy.

    The games gonna be great though i have faith.

    Unless they plan to change it,what we saw at Gamescom was:

    Vlandia vs Battania
    N. Empire vs W. Empire
    S. Empire vs Aserai

    The last two would be the Khuzaits and Sturgia,but if I recall correctly they don't start at war.

    I can't see it either for some reason.
    //edit: Solved it, had to delete the configs in the documents folder. "\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Configs\EnhancedBattleTest"

    Tips

    In warband (and some of the battle tests I’ve done) I generally keep my cav in a safe flanking position until they can be used to charge in on an engaged enemy infantry group from behind. (For background I prefer Sturgia). I generally divide my army into 4 divisions: two infantry lines (either both heavy infantry, or front line heavy infantry and secondary line skirmishers (like berserkers). 1 archer line, and a cav unit directly under my control. Archers stand in front and fire a few volleys until enemy gets close and then they fall behind inf lines. Front line heavy inf operates under shield wall order (acting as anvil for later cav charge) and secondary line operates under “line” formation command. With the AI as it is currently, this behavior allows them to break formation slightly and skirmish out from behind the shield wall heavy inf. Currently does not work well with berserker type units as their weapons get caught up in shields. Hopefully that gets fixed. But regardless, once enemy inf is engaged with front line, I ride out on a flank, turn, and charge, ideally crushing enemy between cav and shield wall. The only other time I might use cav is to counter an enemy cav charge against one of my inf flanks. But that can lead to quite a few losses so I try to avoid that if possible.

    I try the flanking once their inf is engaged and try take there archers out first but a couple of volleys from the archers a couple of cav are down , then before my cav have turned a few have been shot in the back,

    Even when attacking the infantry when there engaged they just seen to turn with there spears

    Anyone got any tips for me to keep my cavalry Alive ? Been playing battle tester with normally 300 infantry 20 archers and 20 cavalry to each team and I just can’t keep them alive unless I leave them hidden in the back. Bit of a worry for when single player comes around considering how...

    Its pretty usuable with my Ps4 controller right now apart from the formation orders. can move block , swap weapons pick weapons up etc Sure it will be easy enough to make version with something like Xpadder anyway when its released.

    So as it turns out I start up my computer and try to run enhanced battletest and i get a crash and error message, "unable to initialize Steam API" had the same problem with the other battle test mod, something with steam and maybe the beta, though no one else has seemed to have the smae problem as me, EA is only a month away but I was hoping to play something like singleplayer in the meantime
    Try going on to steam offline mode then going back to online mode happened to me a few times
