  1. Strategy

    1) Get a core of about 20-40 Line Musket men (I usually get these from Sweden) you can also dismount cavalry units and give them guns if you need more for some reason.

    2) Get two groups of mercenary nationalities, equip one of them with swords the other half with pikes etc.

3a) Change the groups of infantry to Swords and Pikes

3b) Change any range cav you're using as musket men to 'Marksmen' if applicable

    4) When in battle, put line muskets in front if flat, or near top of hill if not, very tight cluster, 1-2 rows depending on how many muskets, have them fire on your command.

    5) Put pike men at the foot of a hill if possible, or just behind the musket men, but off to the left, or right. Very tight cluster, 3 rows. Hold ground.

    6) Swordsmen behind pike men, hold ground, very tight clusters, preferably away from firing lines.

    7) Wait for people to get in close, start ordering your musket men to fire en mass. This causes horrific injury. As pike men should be very close, if cav survives the volley, send in pike men. Use swords to cut down the rest.
  2. Anyone know how to disable routing?

To be honest, the routing thing kind of works. Turn the AI difficulty up a bit perhaps as well. The way I see it, most generals bring low level soldiers into the field more often than a bunch of highly trained soldiers. Those low level soldiers aren't as disciplined, and my characters army has caused over 40,000 casulties alone, and my character has over 1200 reknown and isn't a king (Yet) so what I see from this, is perhaps my characters reputation preceding him? I know enemies moral takes it into effect, but if you think of it as untrained soldiers going against legendary soldiers, you'd run too am I right?
  3. I am looking for some advice!

Thanks! It worked. I got to keep my massive armies and rebelled.
  4. I am looking for some advice!

Does that mean then, that the 1800 men I have garrisoned will not be mine anymore? That took quite a long time to get, and if I have to lose all of it, that's a crushing blow for me and a bunch of soldiers for them to use against me...
  5. I am looking for some advice!

Alright, so I have been playing Warband since it first came out. I wasn't sure what to expect and it was amazing. I've been playing it almost non-stop for a while. I control Narra, a good ammount of area around it, Ergellon castle, and I have a wife. I work for the King of Swadia, have about ten...
