  1. i feel that roles and follower skills are lacking...

For example, we can set scout to scouting. How about a rogue role? How about tactitian or trader roles? I feel there should be a asignable role for every skill, even more so, there should be ability to assign multiple roles to 1 follower. Like trader/negotiator(charm)...
  2. Sturgia worst performing faction, due to having the worst Troop tree, Liege AI, Economy and Geography.

Sturgians was inspired from normans+nothern russians.(Thats why we have units like "druzhinnik" and Varyag") And they loved spears. And guess what - spears was frkn awesome in a shield wall formation.

So i love how they looks and feels.

But TS is right. Spears in this games just suck. And their units too.
Normans and Nords are not the same...
  3. leveling companion skills

I dont know what you are all talking about, at least in the beta branch my companions are leveling quite frequently
please read original post, i am talking about SPECIFIC skills.
  4. Beta 1.1 broken companions and trade?

i think they added bunch of gear on them and since prices on a lot of gear is stupidly high, price for companions came up. i wish they came in a bloody shirt as paying 3-4k for a companion at the start of the game is just stupid.
  5. leveling companion skills

Nope. Had 5 caravans going for at least 300 days, not even 1xp in trade amongst them.

crap, this game is so broken... still awesome just wish basic stuff like that was working by now.
  6. leveling companion skills

does leading caravan raises trade for companion?
  7. leveling companion skills

Folks, anyone can tell me how i can level companion skills? I mean, some are obvious, they run around, Athletic rises. What about say Roguery skill for my scout? Or Trading skill for my future caravan leader?
  8. Sturgia worst performing faction, due to having the worst Troop tree, Liege AI, Economy and Geography.

Its clearly mentioned in the lore that while they are ancestors to the Vaegirs, they are still quite influenced by Nord raids and the Sturgian king himself has a familiar connection with the Skolderbrotva (don't remember exactly which now) and in the main quest itself they clearly state that the Sturgian infantry was famed enough to rival and push the Imperial infantry.

i really wish they did not cluster Nords and Vaegirs together. Each of those faction was unique and played great in Warband....
  9. some beta 1.1 issues with companions

So you removed a lot of skills from characters to make them more focused. I love it. But, who is the genious who does skill allocation for companions? i mean, healer with throwing? Scout with throwing? More then half of the companions have throwing skill. Does someone has a jav fetish...
  10. Khuzait armor OP?

You also have to take cost and armor tier level into consideration.
    i compared similar tier armors.
  11. Khuzait armor OP?

with Khuzait you can field full stack of horse archers that will cost you 1/2 of what would cost equivalent force with other factions. Its my favorite area to go first when i assemble my army regardless of which faction i play as it lets me move quickly around as i build my party up and i find no problem training my people. Unlike other factions, they get first horse archer at tier 2, so first upgrade right after tier 1 Nomad you hire for 20g. 20 of them will rip through force 2 times the number of looters with out any issues with no losses.

It does not even mater as per this thread as we discuss purely the armor weight here. I mean, armor that offers roughly similar protection should have similar weight at the same tier. As it was in the MnB, big difference was distribution of body/arm/leg protection that reflected different faction focus.

Having 3 times the difference in weight is just crazy. I hate being a Sturgian spotting a set of Khuzait armor but i want to be quick and it seems like the only option now. Even most of Battanian armor gets heavy once you get in those protection numbers and their are supposed to be kings of light infantry.
  12. Khuzait armor OP?

Anyone explain to me why their armor is so light? Nomad helm with 26ac weight 1.1, eastern lamenar armor weight 2.6 and it gives you armor 22/6/3. For comparison, leather scale armor with 18/6/6 has weight of 8.8... This makes 0 sense.
  13. Companion models and factions

Folks, i understand game is made in Turkey, but setting is Global. Why is 90% of companion seem to look like midleeastern folks? I am trying to roleplay my nord/rus army and its funny when i have nearly every companion spotting sexy black beard and olive skin. I even went to Sturgia...
  14. AI ranged accuracy

    My thoughts exactly!

all of those yard trash turned superhuman in this game. heck, its easier to autocomplete those fights now because i take less damage due to constant stream of laser guided projectile that seem to target me constantly. i can tune down difficalty but melee is spot on so i really wish balance of both were acheaved.
  15. The Sturgians look ridiculous

The Druhzniks have the same helmet many of the Vaegir Lords did in Warband. I don't really see what's wrong with that. I personally don't like the helmets myself, but they don't really bother me. Can easily equip a different helmet, and use different Cavalry. Since a Nordic inspired army wouldn't have many riders to begin with.

Also, Kievan Rus, are literally Russian Vikings. While the Norse, Danes went to England and France, the Swedes and Finnish went to Russia. Novgorad and Kiev are both Viking Settlements initially that Russia ended up taking over and integrating. So for them to have heavy Viking influence makes sense, whilst mixing it with more Slavic cultures as Russian culture took over.

Russia did not take them over. Ruric family from the Nords were kings of ALL Russia all the way to 16th century. They were the ones who created Kievan Rus and most of that people consider Russia.
  16. The Sturgians look ridiculous

My bad, I should change my post to say "The Kievan Rus" look ridiculous in this game. This is just my opinion but it's those absurd pointy hats with the red nipples on top. Immersion breaking.

That faction is mix of rus and viking factrions. so they have both viking and rus looking elements in their armor. go look what rus armor looked like before complaining.. Whining about immersion when talking about subjective things in fantasy game is just....bizare.

if anything, i feel they should have made 2 separate factions, one for rus and one for vikings as they were completely different styles of armies and armor look and it feels like they were just bloody lazy so they bunched them up together.
  17. Things I wish were in the game

top animation of the horse looks like a horse with a jockey.  most of those guys are known to be short/small to minimize the weight to give them edge in the races.  Like in many other sports, size matters here.  so size is ok as far as i am concerned.  Horse could be a bit longer though.  Animation is definitely off though and could be done better.  But even after saying that, i still think that animation in M&B for horses still a lot better then in most of the games i have played so far.

As for things i'd wish in the game:

ability to join with bandits (not khergits, but whole bandit group)
polished in-game ability to make your own banner.  its already there, but it looks like it is unfinished and disabled (from reading thread about mod that enables it)
more ways to speed up footman based armies.  maybe a wagon carts you can buy, a bit slower then all mounted army, but faster then foot army.
more options in sieges, as in control number of towers/ladders, ability to open gate by sneaking into the city, ability to destroy towers/ladders...  (there are mods, but it really should be in native)
assassination is questionable, i agree here, but in old times, it was quite common for a fight between armies to be decided or preceded by fight between leaders.  Why not to give us an option to duel against lord/leader of the war party.  If he refuses/looses, his army loose moral and some soldiers will not join the fight for example.
more benefits of light armor.  right now the only reason to use it is if you are god of fighting and want to handicap yourself.  maybe add a skill to everyone that controls amount of protection and decreases encumbrance you get from armor like one for shield.
definitely agree on lack of options with prisoner interactions.  raping and eating them is questionable (if they want to keep their game's rating), but exchanging with enemy lords for their prisoners as soldiers for your army, returning to the faction's leader for boost in faction's relation, giving them to lords to boost relationship with them...
  18. Requests for custom banners, surcoats and shields

    oh, it looks wicked.  thanks!
  19. favorite weapons

its a matter of chop-chop vs wack-wack...  both will do the job.
  20. The Hall of Heraldry

oh no, i just threw them in for people as a reference for people who like doing it.  don't bother making them for me specifically.  They look like close enough to historical images (at least from looking at the ones i know) and fairly close to game's time setting.
