  1. Hunting and why it should be in game

The game does desperately need to do things besides regular battles, and desperately needs reasons to visit areas outside of fighting. You have all these beautifully rendered village and wilderness scenes, but no reason to ever set foot in them since you can just do almost anything through menus. Hunting early on could be a source of income, and later on a relationship building tool or, as mentioned, a possible assassination venue. Hell you could be invited to hunt and ambushed as well.
I'd like to see it, but the game has a lot of extremely urgent issues with bugs and design that I'd much prefer get focused on.
  2. Can't set my wife as archer?

I did see some dev account say they were working on "letting you set non-captain companions to formations" but this was months ago, and they said they had no intention to let you set formations in the party screen because it would make things complicated (?), somehow.
Meanwhile every time I start a battle I have to remove 1 cavalry companion and 3 archers out of my infantry line, and since the only way to do it is messing with sliders I'll pend 3-5 minutes trying to keep a generic horse archer unit from going into the cavalry line while I'm moving things.
  3. Places your spouse got pregnant?

    it's not a place - it's about time
there's a time right after noon, shortly after wages payment, when there's a small chance of your wife getting pregnant, if she's in your party or you together are in the same settlement and you are waiting, not moving
God damn and I kept spending nights in town thinking that's when the dice rolled.
  4. New Order of Battle system is immersion breaking for me

The new system has advantages. For example who is able to make a group of infantry with spears and shields and a different group with javelins and shields, for flanking, immediately gets an advanced degree from any university in my country. It's fantastic.
You could do this before by assigning spear infantry units to formation 1 and javelin infantry units to formation 2. There's nothing the OoB system does that you couldn't do before: you used to be able to split formations mid battle, so you could even have 2 formations with the same type of troops. Now you can't split mid battle, only at the start. So there's really no benefit I see that makes up for how much of a huge pain in the ass it is to have to juggle my companions around into the correct formation before every battle, or trying to use modded troops at all.

It's not like the new system needs to go, but we desperately need the partyscreen funcitonality back.
  5. Can't set my wife as archer?

They'll never explain why we can't have both. There would be no problem if you could set troops and companions to a formation in the party screen menu first, instead of having the game try to figure it out based on their equipment and ending with a mounted archer companion in the infantry line, or ending up with modded troops in completely wrong formations.
  6. Can't set my wife as archer?

Yeah it's an awful change and made me stop my new playthrough as well. Defintely no reason why they couldn't keep the old system in addition to the new sliders.
  7. I want to see infantry, archers, cavalry etc in the party screen

I want to assign units to infantry, cavalry, archers etc in the party screen.
  8. These EASY changes Taleworlds can do to make the game MUCH more fun

The #1 easiest change they could make to make the game a lot more fun is BRING BACK THE PARTY SCREEN ASSIGNMENTS.
It was working fine before, there's absolutely zero logical reason it couldn't work even with the pre battle system. Just have the pre battle system use the party screen assignments as the basis for formation placement, instead of whatever wonky algorithm it's got currently.
  9. In Progress Troops fleeing at start of battle

It's the banner carriers, and I have seent hem flee.
  10. Patch Notes v1.0.2

At least the face animation update is noticeable. Characters don't look crazy anymore whenever I talk to them.
  11. Patch Notes v1.0.2

Not sure when this was added but I noticed defenders in sieges now stand away from the walls, 3 feet or so, giving attackers ample space to get over the ladders and start fighting? Is this intentional? Feels really awful, like the defenders are just letting people in.
  12. These EASY changes Taleworlds can do to make the game MUCH more fun

I do think Bannerlord's leveling is too grindy, but the solution in my opinion would be to add more ways, active and passive, for companions and players to earn XP. Books and Scholars, training events, self-study and apprenticeship between members of the party, all of that would make leveling a much more pleasant experience. Currently leveling companions is so difficult that even with boosted XP gain through mods I still won't play with death enabled, for the simple reason that raising another expert follower would take me a whole game.
  13. [1.7.0] Impossible to separate infantry types now into different formations?

I just started playing again since 1.65 and I can't believe one of the features I was most excited for is ruining the game for me.
It's absolutely impossible to keep my archer companions out of infantry formations, or sometimes even horse formations, even if all they have is a bow and ammo. With formations this broken I have little incentive to do anything besides mass horse archers or something equally dumb, because how can I strategize if the game won't give me control over my units?
Unbelievable that it's been like this since 1.7 and TW never cared to fix it. Coming back for 1.0 feels broken in so many new ways that it's depressing.
  14. ***Community Feedback ROADMAP - What Taleworlds still needs to fix!***

I just got on this game after not playing since v1.65 and it seems to be in a much worse state. The change to the infantry/cavalry/archers etc formation system doesn't allow you to place companions/specific troops in desired formation slots. Battle formations are messed up, circle and square formations don't work properly making them mostly useless, captured nobles don't show up in dungeons so you can't prison break them, many facial hair options seem bugged with some graphical glitches, siege defenders no longer push against the walls properly allowing enemies to easily take ground...
I'm especially worried since we're in the "full release" now and I simply don't know how TW plans to move forward, but between glitches and poor design/ui changes I am tempted to roll back to beta 1.7, the game felt a lot more playable then.
