  1. Resolved Shepherd perk gives negative bonus to speed

Just an update to say this hasn't been fixed yet. If it's really just a matter of changing a plus to a minus in the code, I'd hope it gets fixed in the next update. We're almost three months later already.
  2. Resolved Wanderers are getting assigned to wrong formations

I notice the same. The game does not use 'horse yes/no' to decide if a companion in battle is infantry or cavalry. It might use something like 'is athletics higher than riding'. Because of this, some horseriding companions get put in the infantry formation. I never saw the opposite.
  3. In Progress Varcheg defenders spawn bug

I had this one as well. I had to retreat and autoresolve the battle eventually, because the last three enemy soldiers where stuck in such a way that they where impossible to reach.
  4. In Progress Misplaced Walls when Sieging Llanoc Hen Castle

This bug still exists in version 1.01, I had it today when sieging the castle. On the campaign map the walls are far from the actual castle, so the trebuchets shoot off screen to hit the walls. The siege still works, the walls do get damaged. It's just a graphical issue.
  5. Need More Info New smithing part: None for javelin

This does not have to be a bug. For some smithing parts like pommels there actually is a 'none' option to not give the weapon a pommel. And funnily enough this is not the default option, but an option you actually have to unlock to be allowed to use it.
  6. Need More Info Captured by own empire?

I've seen those sort of messages as well. They are uncommon, but it happened multiple times to me.
  7. Resolved Always one false positive retreating unit in the victory screen

Indeed, same behaviour for me. The cavalry and the infantry that get the banner 'retreat'.
  8. Resolved Always one false positive retreating unit in the victory screen

I have noticed the exact same. Sometimes even two units. When it's an easy battle against bandits in which absolutely nobody retreats.

My hunch is that it's the units that carry banners during the battle, I'll check if that's the case.
  9. Resolved Game Crashing on Gog

Indeed, it's fixed for me as well with the new version 3783!
  10. In Progress Game crashes when loading after launch (in release version as well)

In the other thread somebody posted that turning of internet connection made it work again. This indeed works for me as well! I haven't actually played the game to see if it's fully functional, but at least it starts again. Maybe some data-exchange that fails during the startup process that makes it crash?
  11. Resolved Game Crashing on Gog

Turn off the internet and go to the game. I have earned!
This is very interesting, if I disconnect my computer from the internet then the game does indeed launch! Hopefully that helps pinpoint where the error is.
  12. Resolved Game Crashing on Gog

No RTX here, Geforce GTX 1650
  13. Resolved Game Crashing on Gog

I posted a similar thread today. For what it's worth, I also have the game through GOG.
  14. In Progress Game crashes when loading after launch (in release version as well)

Summary: As soon as the game starts loading after launch, it crashes after about 10 seconds on the loading screen. This started happening to me yesterday in the 1.8 version. I upgraded to the release version today hoping it was fixed, but no, exact same problem. I bought the game a week ago and...
  15. Permanent decline in relations with the Christian factions, how to avoid it.

    JuJu70 说:
But having negative relations with Christians doesn't translate into negative relations with factions (at least not unless you did some other bad stuff). The best place to start your kingdom is either Friese, or Alban because both are faily isolated so you won't have to put up with too many crazy hordes.

You don't really have to do any bad stuff, the random events you get from owning cities will in a couple of months make either pagans or christian kingdoms hate you for having -50 relations, like Pedro says. It's pretty much unavoidable, there is no easy way to raise relations like doing quests or paying priests, and the random events will give you something like + 2 pagan / -4 christian relations or vice versa, so you can't balance them out by picking pagan once and then christian. Shoddy game balancing, unless it's intentional to make player kings be at war with half the world all the time
  16. Tweak request - remove spears from tournaments and the arena

Spear is one of the better weapons in tournaments, as long as you use it two-handed without a shield when necessary. Spear and shield is useful when you can get enemies to fight your friends so you can stab them in the back, but it's hopeless for 1-on-1 fights. When you get into a 1-on-1 fight, just drop the shield, and you can fight about as well as you could with a sword.

  17. How to travel by ship with 200+men?

With sea king skill you can command more ships. If you combine that with large ships you can carry 400+ guys eventually, but it will take a while to get to that point. A Busse ship for example is pretty fast and can carry 90 soldiers. But they cost about 50.000 and you need to be lucky to find one for sale, or to find the tar you need so the shipbuilder can build one for you.

You can make a fleet by buying/building a second ship in a port city, and then sail your current ship to that port. When both ships are in the same port they get combined in a fleet.
  18. Few questions...

    aspirine101 说:
Probably lack of rest. I know what happens if it's winter, it will display a message saying it's winter and resources are scarce etc. Here it doesn't display any message besides the one telling me my party lost X morale. Same for lack of food it displays a message.

Small update on problem relating to king being stuck and not coming to world: I got rid of my vassalage finally by capturing a castle, asking it for myself and then the king sent a message saying he wishes to take it for himself and I had the option to renounce my oath.
There is another slight problem though, when I besieged the castle mentioned above, I chose the option to construct ladders, It said I had to wait 44 hours for the ladders but as soon as I clicked it I already had the option to lead my men into battle.

Another way to lose large amounts of morale seemingly out of nowhere is filling your boats to the limit. While sailing your max party size is set to the total capacity of your boats, generally a lot lower than your normal max party size on land. If you have about as much men as you have boat capacity you get huge morale penalties because your party is too full, even though you'd have no such penalties with the same party size on land. Those penalties tend to stick around for a long time after you disembark by getting added to your 'events' morale counter.
  19. 150 Renown

There's a bug that gives you the message that your renown is too low, even though you fullfill all the conditions (renown, relation, peace). I think it happens when the lord you ask has no fiefs at all, so he can't really give you permission to recruit somewhere.

There's another bug that makes lord deny you recuitment rights because they think you are at war with them, even though the war finished a long time ago and you're friends again. I'm not sure why it happens yet.
  20. Each Nation's Specialties?

    My experiences:

Norse: Best infantry (good armours for low level troops, best archers (only nation with armoured archers), no cavalry at all
Picts: Below average infantry, no archers but high level skirmishers, good cavalry
Irish: Average infantry, no archers but high level skirmishers, best cavalry (only cavalry with chainmail)
Angles/Saxons: Average in every way, good all round army
Frisians: Only 4 troop types, upgrade very fast, easy to build a decent army with them, but no high end troops at all
South Celts (Britons/Welsh): Below average infantry (good weapons but horrible armours), below average ranged troops (slingers), average cavalry
