    Diplomacy Mod with 1.158?

As far as I have seen, it works flawlessly, even with native savegames.

How to get the lance down quicker for couching?

I don't think so. For comparison a light lance and a great lance with a high polearm skill will be lowered at the same speed as you would use them with a low one. Regular thrusts however will be faster with a higher polearm skill.

    [AAR: Gekokujo] Peasant Uprising

Going strictly proletariat are we? Interesting concept, for me at least, good luck with those archer bandits (I forgot how they were called). They can knock you out very quickly without shields and if I recall correctly this mod doesn't have any!

Mercenary contract turned me into a vassal with no fiefs or payment

If you are a mercenary for a kingdom they will always list you as a vassal in the notes menu, there is nothing wrong there. Though the payment should be coming for you. Maybe there is an option when speaking with the king to get the payment, something like "I humbly request my payment" although I might be wrong. And build some enterprises to get some money. Dyeworks can bring you a tidy profit each week in most towns, and several should be enough to support any army, although they are pricy to build (~10K).

What character skills are important to have?

I'm wondering which skills to put on my character.

I know that leadership is pretty much useless later on since you can get a big army just by renown and the morale can be easily boosted up.

    Any help?

    So leadership is useless now?

You do know that Leadership is what helps you with morale too right?

Which is why I said the morale can be boosted quite easily. I read on other stuff and people kept saying that leadership will become useless.

Leadership also reduces the weekly wages required for troops, by 5%, which when you rule a kingdom, or have some castles can be a lifesaver (Or more likely castlesaver, because you can put more troops in them.) in case you can't make in time to lift sieges. Although if you have some enterprises in most of the towns this can be overshadowed by the amount of denars you get each week.

Why does everyone think that Rhodoks suck in sieges?

    nothing can beat the Sharpshooters.

Even if they are incredibly good, I tend to disagree. If the sharpshooter misses, (which he can, but there is only a very small chance of that) he is f***ed by any other top tier ranged troop because of the sharpshooter's reload time. An archer can shoot 2-3 arrows before a crossbowman can finish reloading, if the archer hits, the reloading is interrupted, damage is being dealt, and the sharpshooters starts over. (Of course when they are defending a castle this doesn't happen because they are in cover) If he manages to reload, then he will kill someone. Same goes for Swadia and their crossbowmen.

What levels do the troops upgrade?

You should post this in the Floris mod board.  :???:

Trouble rebelling - Too good standings?

I'm not saying to give all fiefs to lords, and not to exile them, and to accept every lord. If you take only the lords with good traits, and not give them too much power, they won't cause too much trouble.

You obviously have never experienced the annoyance of a bunch of rude idiots who dislike you for your every move ...

Shame there is no "execute" button in this game !

And you obviously do not realise that you won't be liked by everyone everytime. There will always be someone who you will piss off. And someone might betray you if you piss him (or her) off enough. But I completely agree about the execute button.
Why didn't developers thought of that?

    Another piece of advice:

REFUSE IMMEDIATELY EVERY LORD THAT DEFECTS STRAIGHT AWAY TO YOUR FACTION --> THEY ARE GREEDY BASTARDS AND WILL BETRAY YOU

They don't always betray you. If some lord quarelled with the king, the king can exile him just because he didn't like him. I had nearly all my lords holding a big amount of fiefs and they never betrayed me. Of course if you treat your lords like rabble, they will betray you. Just some advice.

Trouble rebelling - Too good standings?

This is a big pain in the butt. I don't know any way else to rebel while keeping your fiefs, than to get refused a fief. Try lowering your relation to Ragnar and maybe Nords in general, before asking for one. I wish I could give some more advice, but I haven't found a solution other than this...

    LOGIC- Tax collecting for lords.

    That's right Bruce let's get back on-topic:

    *Besieging a castle.*
Marshall: We need some more cows for beef, which we don't eat but leave to rot, so I'm sending you to get some for me. I don't care how you get them, just get them.
*I get back with the cows, the siege failed.*

The chart displays who the heroes like and they hate. For example Artimenner likes Lezalit and hates Klethi, while Klethi likes Deshavi, hates Artimenner and Borcha. Borcha just hates Deshavi and Klethi. And likes noone.
Borcha like "good egg" Marnid, every NPC like someone and hate 2 other NPC's

I just said what the chart said. By the way that chart doesn't have Marnid for some reason.  :???:

    Down Goes The Town

Nord Huscarls are the best without question, but Rhodok/Swadian? Sergeants are a moderate replacement.

Pffft. Shields are for sissies!
Only the Huscarl shields are big enough to be of any effect really.
And since I like the lance+bow+sword loadout, so I don't carry any shields.

Apparently you haven't lanced taiga bandits with head-seeking javelins. They ALWAYS knock you out and since auto-calc never works right this stuff happens. Of course it's all my opinion.

Anyway some taiga bandit vs. lancer logic:

30 lancers + me are charging 5 taiga bandits.

    *Javelin to the face.*
    *Got knocked unconscious.*
Lancers: Oh **** we're screwed! RUUUUUUUUNNNNN!!!!!!

*Your companions carry you away from the fighting.*
*Can't fight personally so auto-calc takes the battle.*

    Anyway an Ol' classic:

    Yet another campaign.

Marshall: Let's take that castle, to gain a strategic foothold in the region!

    *They arrive at the castle.*
*All of them goes to raid a village.*

    Prisoner Rescue - help needed!!

If the quest takes place in a hostile castle and if you are low level... You are f*cked. Like Lizard_man said avoid these missions entirely if you are low level. If you have a high level character you have a slight chance. Also archers in such situations are a pain in the ass.
