For example.... Instead of saying "LETS ALL NERD DA BAYONERTS DAMAAGE" We could say "Hmmmm, perhaps if we gave horses a **** load more hitpoints, that might help fix people turning round and one shotting horses, whilst also still rewarding those who land an accurate shot on the rider".
Turning Speed: Agreed
More HP: Would not affect out offensive cababilities jack sh*t. Like giving Infantry new Boots. Albeit nice to have, it wont affect gameplay.
I really dont agree..... What, if you doubled the horse HP or/and gave it additional armour so that it wouldn't be 1 shot by Inf that turn around and stab it as you go to backstab? That apparently doesn't help you? Bollocks.
It would invalidate the above tactic completely, i would mean you could get up in the melee without being dismounted, you could focus on blocking attacks that were aimed at you and the method of killing the horse to get the rider(The number 1 anti-cav method by the way) gets a severe increase in difficulty and effectiveness.
And yeah, maybe we should rename this thread to "Do Infantry need to be nerfed?" Because thats what it has turned into, rather than actually trying to make Cav competitive on their own merits.

Just my two cents, Buffing the health will only make us die slower, as we still have to be damaged to attack, however giving to swords a range buff will work nicely along with making cav faster, also making it so that a bayo can magically make a half a ton horse dissolve eludes me.
Dieing slower, is in essence, the definition of survivability....
Definition for survivability:
Web definitions:
Survivability is the ability to remain alive or continue to exist. The term has more specific meaning in certain contexts..
So.... with increased survivability, being able to tank through one bayo stab on your horse and deliver a 1 shot? Thats a bad thing? I'm not sure what you guys want or expect. You keep throwing out buzzwords as is you are a conservative on an election campaign "A shorting chance". What kind of sporting chance do you think the other classes have against eachother? How are the woes of the Cav Man so bad that any suggestions to improving Cav just wont cut it.
You want eveerything it seems. A devastating weapon, less of a range difference between sword and bayo, slower bayos, faster and more maneuvarable horses. Thats why this thread is beggining to irritate me. You actually want Cavalry to be tanks, capable of fulfilling every role "sportingly" when the version of sporting being put across essentially means "uncontested".
