    Statement Regarding Plans For MP Vol.5

    Warriors of Calradia,
    Welcome back for a new update on what we have planned for the upcoming months. First and foremost, we are working on the stability of our game servers. We are aware of the current issues and we already fixed some of the problems. Fixing the server issues is our top priority. We have many new features almost completed and ready to be experienced by you all:
    • In-game Voice Chat is in the final testing stage and will be going live very soon.
    • Duel Mode is in the final polishing stage and will be going live very soon.
    • Observer Mode is in the final testing stage and will be going live very soon.
    • Sound Occlusion is nearly done and will be featured on the next beta.
    • Many MP HUD and Lobby UI improvements have been finished.
    • Improvements on the Reporting Tools have been finished, including Kick Player and Mute All functions.
    • First part of the Level Progression system is nearly done, it will, later on, tie in with the Customization System.
    • Lots of new badges have been added.
    • Work on new Siege maps is almost complete and work is in progress on new Skirmish maps.
    • Fixes and Improvements on current maps are being made.
    • Improvements to Matchmaking Experience.

    We are also working non-stop on improving and balancing the game following player feedback. We have been sending more frequent balance patches straight to live servers as promised and more will follow.
    Current issues we are working on that are in various stages of development:

    Combat
    • Knockdown/Get up and Dismount/Get up animation improvements
    • Certain swing related inconsistencies
    • Adding recovery delay to missed kicks
    • Crossbows being too accurate and too effective in close range.
    Skirmish Mode
    • Cavalry being too impactful
    • Infantry being less impactful
    Captain Mode
    • Separation of some Perks and some Troop Stats for Captain Mode
    • Ranged AI not being effective enough
    • Cavalry AI not being effective enough
    • AI abuses by player Captains
    Siege and TDM
    • Increasing the cost of Cavalry units.
    Other features that are in progress and are expected to arrive further down the road:
    • Customization System which allows the players to unlock new pieces of armor by playing and customize their characters.
    • Ranked Mode with Ranked Matches and player skill ranks.
    • Battle Mode. A single-life per round game mode.
    This post was made in February, it's now July, clearly this isn't good enough, give everyone a refund and stop development. There aren't even duel servers yet, it's an joke.

    Cant make any assumptions about the devs. They could be the most talented devs on the planet, it all comes down to management and their design decisions

    Sadly the devs are both incompetent or extremely lazy, possibly both, I'm amazed by how long it takes to change the cost of a Knight from the current cost too 300.

    I keep hearing cav mains talk about how easy it is to counter them. I guess everyone except for them lack this insight.

    The fact is; cav is pretty much OP in every gamemode and deserve a fat nerf. Also some or all of the maps must stop allowing cav so much open area

    Already gave a more insightful answer than anything you have come up with. Again it is far easier to complain about something than actually improving your play to the point where it isn't an issue; it literally only is an issue for people who don't have the technical skills to defend against it or play it themselves. No one is forcing anyone else to play and yet they continue to do so. Plenty of others have left. TW being aware of an "issue" ≠ TW making a change. Increasing the cost on cav won't stop bad players from getting destroyed by good cav. Siege is a causal gamemode, even the proposed siege "league" will not be competitive because it is a casual gamemode with wonky mechanics, generally bad maps, and a major advantage for the defenders always if the sides were close to being equal in skill.
    There's no such thing as good cav

    I often just use them to get into the castle more quickly, it really sucks when you get killed 5 times in a row ba jav in face and you have to runn all the way again. Its actually quite useful in that regard. Also it can be used to slow the flow of enemies outside the castle or to quickly get to the siege weapons and take care of them.
    Maybe the devs could make spawns closer especially once flags are taken. I say maybe because they're useless and probably couldn't do it.

    No thanks, i prefer for khuzait to have something else except like 3 classes

    New Unit Costs and Some Small Changes

    According to NIN3 this unit has been stripped of the menavlion, which I am glad to see. Check this:



    I absolutely agree.

    The way the maps are laid out favours this zerg effect where the cavalry rampages uncontrollably up to the main points where, in my opinion, the fight should be exclusively melee/ranged.

    We all know about the sieges in warband and the totally secondary role of cavalry in them. In Bannerlord, on the other hand, devs have opted for easily climbable ramps and stairs.

    Personally I would reduce the up/downward movement speed on short stairs (the horse necessarily has to walk slowly to climb them) and on steeper ones (like for example the one in the G stairs of skala landings) directly block the passage for cavalry (the rider will have to dismount)... and ofc no "backward" tricks.

    Because real horses go up and down like this
