    Games you wish existed

Escape from Tarkov, but single player. Or just a single player FPS with Tarkov's features and gunplay in general.

This looks interesting and has some good reviews. Can't remember if it's been posted here.
It's just very early acccess with plenty of issues.

Killing horned demon looking Pan wannabees with a sword and a single action army? I'm down!

Steel Division 1 just has a generic list of missions like RUSE, but Steel Division 2 has a tabletop-like scenario mode where you move divisions around. Some of them are goddamn gigantic.

For context this took him about 40 hours to complete.

Any world war 2 game that tries to have "good guys" is just disrespectful in my eyes. The Nazis went well out of their way to exterminate people, I don't see how you could possibly spin that to being "the good guys" without turning into David Irving. Even having them as the playable protagonist faction wouldn't be so bad so long as you don't pretend they weren't agents of genocide wherever they went.

Exactly. The entire conflict was not one of "good guys" and "bad guys", but the Axis powers were objectively doing heinous ****. That's legit "bad", there's no defense that can be made for it.

Can we get a game where the Germans are the good guys please

Kind of hard to be the primary belligerent in both World Wars, and get to be called the good guy.

Unless you just mean the protagonist (which doesn't necessarily have to be "good", there's lots of media where the protagonist is "evil"). In which case, it would be interesting to see. It's been done in movies (like Das Boot), so the only reason why it can't/won't be done in a video game is because it's interactive.

Couple juicy ones on the horizon.

    NEOLITHIC
    c873d0263b7041be8ea2901d89da9b44_original.jpg

Age Of Empires style city-builder with citizen management and individual needs set in the Neolithic era, with a never-ending open map and of course, warfare. Pretty much a dream come true in my eyes, and is fairly far through development though with no release date yet. The developer also plans to add multiplayer in further down the line as one of his main goals.

NOTE: This Kickstarter trailer is fairly out-dated now, and you can hop onto the discord to see more recent updates and further information.
This looks neat. Thanks for sharing.

Been making some outfits with RDR2 mods. All of the heads here are modded from NPCs, and some of the poses are animations that you can't do without mods, but all the clothes are from Multiplayer aside from the grey bandana on the second guy and lawman badge on the fourth.

    looks like trash

They probably had this in the works for a while but prematurely announced it to make people forget leviathan.
Nothing is even shown, how can it look like trash? Also has no mana, which is a good thing. Stupid mechanic.

    Chivalry 2

Combat looks ugly as sin. Why the hell do all these melee games suffer from mecha turret leg syndrome? There's gotta be a way to have proper footwork and movement without going with turret legs right? Or am I just throwing wishes into the wind?

    Total War: Rome Remastered

https://store.steampowered.com/app/885970/Total_War_ROME_REMASTERED/ Anyone got it yet? I'm just installing it now. From what I've seen so far, it looks to be really good, and there's already a total conversion in the works; the RTR team and the Roma Surrectum Team have come up with a teaser...

Debating implementation of a Reaction/Like system

Favorite tactic of those with nothing to contribute, call it a strawman. But the argument is over. It's been over for months get used to it.
This looks like a case of projection on your part.

Debating implementation of a Reaction/Like system

You have already said so. Other forums are bigger hubs of scum and villainy. Your own words, Now beat it.
That's a strawman. They were bigger hubs of scum and villainy before the like button.

The like button did not end the world. The like button did not cause a popularity contest there.

Taleworlds forum is also a hub of scum and villainy. Implementing a like button will not make it a bigger hub of scum and villainy, it will not cause the world to end, it will not cause popularity contests.

So again, demonstrate that it would lower the boundaries of participation. Otherwise you're just irrationally opposed to something without any evidence.

I'm less concerned about popular posts/people getting disproportionate attention than I am about unpopular users getting routinely suppressed. Right now the only way to act against someone's opinion is to post your own--with likes/dislikes, you can put someone down systematically without ever putting yourself in the spotlight. We already have a problem with a handful of users being routinely targeted, though it's usually just toeing the line. Making it easier for people to keep them down is not in their interest or in the interest of moderation staff.
That's not how the system works on Xenforo, so your concern is unfounded.

The system is not a like/dislike system like reddit. It's simply a "like" system. As in, at the bottom of a post it simply says "x user liked this post". Nobody is put down, nothing is suppressed.
