Couldn't agree moreBeing a soldier and being an officer are two very different trades, and they don't require the same skills. An office doesn't need to "wield", he only needs experience as an officer. That doesn't mean that officers shouldn't know how to fight, but it's not required, and a general who fights is often endangering his army more often than not.
It was in the Revolutionary Wars when, precisely, this was more apparent. Suddenly anyone could enter the officer corps, and thousands of commoners with skills in leadership, not blue blood or lineage, became some of the best army commanders ever seen until that point. The sheer amount of excellence inside of Napoleon's tent, the brilliance of most of his Marshals, of whom more than half were sons of tradesmen, peasants and artisans instead of nobles, is astonishing.
That said, I don't look forward to a Napoleonic DLC. I'm not in love with that style of combat, even if I'm very much interested in the period.
I'm talking about 1.0.10, not the 1.1.0 beta patch, I haven't tried it yetIs this with the new beta patch?
I'm sure it is, my problems only started occuring since patch 1.0.10 however so my assumption would be that the fault isn't on my end. Prior to patch 1.0.10, the game ran perfectly adequately on medium-high settings with my rigYep but in the clash of forces will be much more less, im playing low is decent
Diference between low and medium in fps its massive
In low will be 100% smooth
I've been on the end of bad stuttering and big fps drops since 1.0.10, previous to that I was able to run the game well on high settings with an i5-8400 and 8gb ram. I think it's an optimisation issue seeing as it used to run fineHello,
(laptop) user here. I'm encountering some stuttering too and I'm not able to run the game on very high settings, one thing that seems to be causing a lot of stuttering in battles seems to be ragdolls (like when a person falls off a horse, etc. It tends to drop my frame rate from 60 to 48 FPS). I've also noticed some taverns or lords' halls tend to have low fps, seems to be the light sources or the shadows I'm not too sure. Thank you for all the work you guys are putting into this game, it's amazing so far.
Oh to be so lucky. This patch seems to have tanked my performanceCampaign performance feels much more smooth with less hickups, less stuttering and with higher FPS, even on Windowed Fullscreen mode with higher graphical settings than I used before.
But I'm experiencing much more sudden crashes than I've done before. I didn't really have much crash related issues before, only when trying to alt-tab out in fullscreen or something, but now I might crash in the middle of small/medium sized battle even when everything was running perfectly smoothly.
