  1. More up-to-date version of the Freelancer mod?

on the topic of freelancer for V1.4 is there a required renown? Whatever lord I go to become a soldier he never has the option for me to join him, any help would be awesome

I remember getting it to work before on my other PC but when I did a new install(which was also a newer version) I no longer had the option to become a soldier

Multi player is the main aspect of the game, in fact many people are like Xtrah, hardly played the SP aspect of things, Would be nice to see a bit more of a fleshed out MP section, maybe talking about the various modes like battle, duel, team deathmatch and seige (the 4 most played modes, the others such as CTF are very rarely played publicly), also linking to the warband clans section on this forum might not be a bad idea, some new players like to find a strong clan to play with and there are plenty of very good ones on that page (http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/board,163.0.html). However other than that great review, actually learned some stuff about sp which is surprising considering I've owned the game for over 2 years , I usually prefer video reviews as I can see as well as learn about the game, but enjoyed reading that.

I did not play much of the multi player. However I will work on the multi player section. I had never even thought about posting the clan information. Would it be a good idea for me to point out community groups? Examples of this would be subreddits, steam groups, taleworlds forums, etc.

as far as videos go I do not have the stomping power or software to create videos. However if I get a large enough viewer base for me to warrant it I will look into it further. The way it is now seemed like the best way to do it. I am testing out the waters right now so to speak.

    thanks for checking it out!

    thanks for the critique

I did not play much of the multiplayer. should I add a section on opinion or just add it into the final thoughts section?

  11. Dena Pirates

    I have 21K and tools
either I cant find the option or i need more men (its just me in my party)
or is there a lvl requirememnt?
  12. Dena Pirates

how do i build a lair and what do i need? thanks
  13. how to start?

ive held back to some sucess but whenever I end up with it being 2v2 both me and my ally have spears and my ally normally dies quickly and every time I kick I take damage to no affect

i find the spear to be better without a shield so sometimes I drop the shield and that seems to work in a 1v1 fight but not in a 2v1 fight

ill try your stratagy a little bit to see if it works well for me or not
  14. how to start?

that cleared up a lot thank you
my bigest problem is that late in tournaments im having trouble winning when I get a spear/shield because they always run up and I cant do any damage
it is even more difficult when there are more then one opponents

I can do good with all the other tournament weapons except spear/shield

do you have any good info on hunting as well?

thanks for all the help in this thread and the other guides that are stickied
  15. how to start?

I mean info on troops factions companions weapons towns etc
im also kind of overwelmed with all the new features
  16. how to start?

thanks for the tip on the lair

i kind of wish this game had a wiki like vanilla does
  17. how to start?

another question I have is what companions are lords?
I dont want to give fiefs to non lords and i want to at least have between 4-6 companion lords so when i do start my kingdom I dont just get killed my the sheer mass of lords some factions can have by the time I am ready to start my faction

    last question
what do I need before I can make a lair because I dont know how to make one
instead of a lair could I just put troops I find in the wagon while i am enlisted?

also I have found hunting to be profitable in some areas because of high amounts of deer/goats/boar
  18. how to start?

my long term plan is to set up stuff in all of ireland and then expand my kingdom elseware

If you want a good easy start, begin in Cantware. Join the Kings' army as a soldier. Make sure you have a few points in looting and inv. management too. With the amount of Dena pirates/franks roaming this area you will easily rack up a few easy levels and loot and you don't even have to do any fighting yourself. Sometimes they start off not at war with anyone but usually if they do it is against Suth Seaxe. After just a month or two of serving the king I had made over 20K in money just by selling off Frank loot. Depending on your luck I guess you may get more or less (depending on how soon they go to war and with how many) but still this is a very good starting area/way for new players (imo anyway).

Plus the chances of you getting some good armor/weapons/etc from looted Franks is also good - it will save you money on having to buy any of it. Once you have gotten some levels, some money, and some gear you can then leave the army and try something/someone else. All up to you.

that king loves high casualties we lost half an army to 30 franks! ofc I cant do anything cause he gives me crappy gear
  20. Trading and Enterprises Tips v1.2

I feel like a noob not knowing this but when I talk to the guild master and ask what a town needs what do the numbers mean because it seems like they never match up. Is it a good idea to bring items towns need for mid range prices instead of the minimum?
