    Reticule

Will the reticule you shared change the aiming position of guns? or do you simple aim it at them dead on and fire (providing there isnt enough distance to cause bullet drop)

    Changing in-game sounds

Hey peoples, So earlier on, I decided to have a quick game of Native when I accidently loaded up NW, I joined a Native server after it asked me to change the module type, but found that when I entered the game, the entire game's sounds were muddled up. I heard constant cries of all the NW...

Any guide how to aim at greater distances?

If you're aiming to hit a group of people in the far distance, you're going to have to aim at least an entire reticule to 2 recitules height higher to hit (That means don't aim at people through your reticule, raise your sight about 4-6cm higher than the target, the bullet drops a huge amount compared to M&M)
A little tip to see how far you've fired too, when you fire. use the button to view outfit and look to the side of your character in third person view, you should see the shot land a lot easier. Use that to gauge exactly how much higher you should be aiming (If it only falls half way, double the height you aim etc). Bullets are still pretty accurate at far distances, I don't have too much trouble still hitting stuff. but don't expect to snipe the exact guy you have your sights on, if there are no larger crowds, save your time and try to move into a closer distance

It's still more a game of skill when aiming at distances than it is luck, so ignore players who say otherwise

What are the main differences between the guns?

Just a little tip for reloading guns. on any of the guns, once you have finished putting the rod in the gun and you're about to do that final check thing on the back of your gun, you're free to move. you don't have to wait until it's all complete, it won't cancel the reload. I see a lot of people that just wait around and waste time when they could be moving earlier

I thinkI have noticed that you can break it into 3 actions:

pushing the ball down the barrel

    adding the powder

    cocking

once any of the first two is accomplished, you can safely move, and your next reload attemopt will start immediatly with the next. ,ove before either of them is finished, and you start over again.

It's powder, ball, rodding, cocking. you cant stop until the rodding is pretty much finished. but if you do stop near the end, it allows you to continue the reload when you stop to reload again (after being forced to move) the only thing you will do is finish off the rodding and then cocking. you don't have to start over from the beginning

    Dismounting Cavalry is Ridiculous

I think what your talking about must be a bug I have seen it before where the rider is hit or the horse and the horse just trots away and the rider dismounts. Not fair if you cannot attack him.

That's exactly what happens. I heard it's intended, but I really don't see how. It's not dismounting the cav by killing the horse since the horse runs away. It has to either be knocking the rider off the horse, which is impossible since the animations wouldn't work for that. or just a bug.

I hope it's the latter and it gets fixed because it happens way too often to me. It's hard to deal with when you're fighting off a horde of cav which are surrounding you

    Dismounting Cavalry is Ridiculous

I'm sick of lancers charging head on at me, only to be outfought by my bayonet, then being granted a couple of seconds god mode while they automatically step off their horse just to engage me in melee I thought this game was supposed to be remotely realistic. How is it possible for someone to...

Btw. do you know where this hit-sound file is located and is it "legal" to edit it?

    I think it's the 3 files located in mount&blade warband > sounds. They're called arrow_hit_boddy_1, arrow_hit_boddy_2, arrow_hit_boddy_3.

Don't know if you can mod them though

No, those are the sounds you hear when YOU are hit by an arrow.
What you want to edit is "mp_arrow_hit_target".

Someone edit it and tell me how to do it!

Mouse Delay when using RadeonPro - What's causing it?

    Deofuta said:
Sounds like you are experiencing a problem called mouse acceleration, something I have thankfully not had to deal with in Mount and Blade. Did you have the same problem in any of the other MB titles?

It doesn't do it if I'm not running RadeonPro, so im not sure what exactly causes it when I am

Mouse Delay when using RadeonPro - What's causing it?

Hey peeps, I've been using RadeonPro to tweak the graphics settings. I've managed to make it cap at 61fps, but I notice that it seems to have a very slight mouse delay. I can move the mouse and stop it and the reticule is still moving. It just feels strange and I can't get used to it. So I'm...

Rifle melee damage is absolutely ridicilous

I use rifles a lot and I know that I've never 1 hit anyone with a rifle, and if you parry with a rifle then the bayonet can stab faster than you can counter swing. Plus the range of a rifles attacks is shorter than a bayonet. It's not unbalanced at all.

    Possible lag fix (Radeon cards)

Many of my settings were already similar but I changed a few that you recommended and I seem to have a good boost in FPS, it sticks around mid 50-60 at 200 players in a server and stays at 60 when people begin to die (It's capped at 60 for me)

So it seems to work, Thanks! :]

Edit: It only made a slight change, but that's better than nothing

    Cavalry Magically Unmounting When Stabbed?

    MaHuD said:
It's a feature. There is an option in the admin panel that turns force dismount on/off (with a customisable percentage of triggering it)

But it looks ridiculous? Why don't they have it like in M&M, where people either took a hit and survived/died, or their horse died and they flew off the horse?

Magical flying men is just strange.

    Cavalry Magically Unmounting When Stabbed?

It seems to happen quite often. I stab a guy on a horse who's charging at me, and his horse keeps running and he randomly dismounts off thin air and begins charging at me. What's causing this? My FPS and Latency is fine when it's happening
