Sorry but my game crash when I besiege a "special" town our castle, like lizardmen or Khemri. And when I go to in a High Elf town my crash too. Someone have an idea to help me ?
Warband first screen: options: video: (select) Load Textures on Demand.
Default behavior for Warband is to attempt to load ALL the files found in a mod's Resource, Textures, Sounds folders. In Native that is about 550 MB, not too much. It probably fits nicely onto your video card's dedicated RAM, with room to manipulate agents in battle and so on. For Warsword Conquest "Beta", that was 1.5 GB, which is fairly high, but many people have 2 GB video cards and 4 GB RAM, so it still happened to work. Now comes Warsword Conquest "II", for lack of a better way to differentiate it from the 2 years ago version. Now there are ANOTHER 550 MB of assets, bringing the size of these 3 folders to 2.00 GB, and this is about 350 MB SMALLER than it was in March due to Del's reorganization and cleanup of resource files. At 2 GB preloaded into memory, this is making resources tight, especially in complex maps like the Elven kingdom.
Claiming the kingdom is bugged because you are too stubborn to adjust your game settings as asked is more lame than necessary. What IS necessary is to actually try it like suggested before giving up. I wrote WHY I MAKE you change a setting so you have at least some reason to trust me, but frankly I don't care that some other mod didn't ask you to change settings. Perisno has a FURTHER 1 GB for version 0.8 as it last was build so I am well aware of what happens when too much art is added for the everyday man's lazy settings. In this case, the art just needs you to try Load settings on demand. If it STILL doesn't work THEN you should slide textures to 70% to dynamically resize them to 50% of normal memory footprint (70% in X axis * 70% in Y axis means resampled into 0.49 times the previous RAM footprint.)
Does this make it clearer?
