When I was a child in 1996 I dreamt of a war system where I could demolish and magically rebuild buildings and vehicles to use with my massive toy soldier armies. The dream was realised to a certain extent in 2003 when I discovered Battlefield 1942 and Rome Total War. For me Battlefield has always enabled full immersion in every incarnation.
Conversely, Total War never entirely sated the desire. Don't get me wrong, the two TWs I've played are fantastic. M2TW with mods was almost limitless, but as every TW fanatic knows the desire to control a combatant in the mayhem of war.
It wasn't until this summer I saw an hour long video for Bannerlord that was made two years ago. Obviously I immediately bought Warband (PS4 Holla haters), then sought funds from the warchest to supply a P.C. ready to fully indulge my childish dream.
I know this game will be the business. Take as long as you need guys, I would wait until Kingdom Come is out then steal all their features!
