Naw, applying to veterinary school. Got an interview with Ohio on Thursday, an interview with Kansas in January, and expecting an interview invite with Texas A&M and Western University, and maybe Iowa before it's all said and done.
Been busy with projects, finals, interviews, and traveling. In fact, tomorrow I have to fly to Ohio for another interview. Not a bad problem to have, just exhausting and expensive.
I haven't even gotten to play the new version of WB yet, but hopefully Thursday will be my last interview...
Well I have to agree. Couching isn't difficult to do and boring as ****. It was much more fun having to time lance thrusts. Now all you have to do is hope your target doesn't see you first and jump out of your way.
"Joukossa tyhmyys tiivistyy." Don't bother sticking it through an online translator, though. You'll most likely end up with incomprehensible gibberish.
Yes that was a side-effect that I thought would be a plus. It would make lance attacks more possible to 'read' for somebody trying to avoid them. I didn't mention it because I knew it would offend cavalry players if it were framed that way, but the cat's out of the bag now
Not every swordsman is super-1337-ninja though. He may be top par, but it's not a normal skill level that you'd find on a battle field except for a select few people.
Anyhow it doesn't matter what you think. A sword could technically kill a horse in one hit in real life, and it does so in game too (have had it happen). But a sword kills a naked person in real life in one hit (again, assuming a proper hit) but that doesn't happen in game unless it's a very big one. So don't go applying reality to one situation to suit your cause without blanketing it across the board.
The reason is straightforward; if you want to stop the weapon, as you do at the end of your swing, you're going to have to slow it down. Slowing it down means less damage, of course.
Yah I get that, even said so in my post, but the drop off rate wouldn't be that long. When you swing a bat or something, you don't stop 3/4 of the way through and slowly end it, you just end it very rapidly. The drop off from red to yellow should be much shorter.
I actually don't know that I'll be able to join in on Wednesday unless it's real early in the day. We're leaving for Thanksgiving after work.
One thing I've always wondered is what all requires you to hit 'start map' for the change to take hold? Like if you change combat mode to fastest, does it happen automatically or do you have to start a new map for it to change.
I warn people when I'm 'undercover'. I can always get a new character, but I hate blowing my cover and having to create a new one all the time lol. My latest one has a kick ass name but was outted the other night
But if they're a past abuser (IE reported in the thread at the top of the page) I ban them out right whenever they're exploiting/being abusive/whatever. They've already had their warning in the past.
Though I don't quite understand why your swing power gets lower as you get nearer the end of your swing. The follow-through will contain all the momentum past where you currently have the red spot and deceleration of the attack is much quicker than implied there. The red area should be larger at the end of the swing IMO and then drop off rapidly.
