    I have one thing to ask to the event admins: I am interested in this event, but I won't take part because I'm not good enough, I wanted to know anyway if I can spectate it, at least some matches, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE  :cry:

  3. Basic questions regarding hosting an event

    Based on my events

    - Around  50% of EU can only follow very simple instruction, preferably in group so they can do the "lemming" style. Some can still do basic communication in english, but it's very limited.  They is 100 % chance they engage in combat whenever they can.

    Admin fear is the only decent way of controling them.

    Around 25-30 % are light roleplayers who can play and talk in english. Some are decent for leadership position, they have hard time to make a decent "peaceful" roleplay.
    Around 10-20% are roleplayers who are able to hold a role and act seriously for the sake of RP.

    For now. Less than 25% of the community know how to RP properly.
    If we set up some kind of "RP schools " event ( i'm thinking about it ) we could rise it up to 50%.

    Come on, you consider all the players just kids who need to learn, and you think you are better than them...but there are 2 things you don't know:
    - that you, the supreme god, are not able to speak proper English, and sometimes even native English speakers say that they don't understand the messages you send through admin chat;
    -that most of the people don't RP just because they have no interest in that, after all we are talking about a mod for a war game, and Vornne himself said that PW is meant to be as competitive as native. PW is not the right place for RP.

    I like that people RP, but I heard admins say: "Those who don't RP should all be banned from this server" and things like that, so that's why I'm against Aldric's ideas.

    Was no technical difficulty. Just an unbalance between defenders and attackers. And Aldric didnt even ask me because of the event change, the poll was also awesome : 1 for shieldwall 2 for old map. the 3 for continueing was missing.

    Yep this was my audience at this server, i resignated 2 times yet, but all good things are 3.
    If you think i work for nothing and my work gets replaced by a lame shieldwall event played 1000 times before, then your wrong.
    My mistake, it isnt possible simply to wait 5 minutes that a few people can join isengart,  but who cares, just were 2 weeks of work and lot of stress for me.
    I just left the thing, I stayed at the server to play my event. and if you break it up, you break up my adminship. simple.
    If there is no honour left for my work, i leave no honour for this server. these 08/15 event maps we had before I create you in 3 hours, not very hard...
    If i think about it, I cant stop telling you how dumb it is to replace a 2 weeks prepared event in middle of the fight with this uncreative piece of disharmonie of shieldwall event. I,.... ah i stop it here...

    I mean, you came back to do your event again, and Aldric changes it to a shieldwall? How can he do that?

  7. [EU_A_PW] Scene 7 suggestions (Mainscene atm)

    My suggestion is really to change scene. We have been playing scene 7 for 3 months in a row (with few changes in between).
    This is also one of the reasons why people are leaving: you have mappers, you already have good maps, but we are always playing the scene 7, and looks like it will last forever.
    I remember for instance that once we tried a map with a lot of mountains, 3 castles on hills and an arabian castle on the coast; we never played that map anymore, just that one day, why?
    Same for the map called "a city divided" or something like that.

    I'm not angry at you, just surprised that with the high number of maps you could use, you always use the scene 7.

    I saw how much effort you put into the events, and you always helped the other players.
    You were not there just for the power, but you are really a good person.
    I heard one of the reasons for your departure is an event gone bad (and the other ones are probably the school starting now for you and the mod getting a bit boring) and I though:
    "seriously, who cares if an event has gone bad, if we know that you put a lot of effort in it, we still appreciate it, and the event can just be done in a later date."
    So at least don't disappear completely, but come back sometimes :smile:
    btw are you the same  Eskalior I have seen 5 days ago on crpg?

    OMG OMG you are so wise!
    I just came back after some weeks and saw how many things happened in this short time.
    PW is a great mod, my personal opinion is that it won't die anytime soon, just a new era has started for the EU A RP server.
    PW is great at the beginning, but it is also after a long time, if we don't focus on grinding and killing, but we rp and enjoy the company of other good players.
    What happens to me is that I can take a break from PW, but I cannon leave :smile:
    See you on TWW, or native, or PW, or whatever.

    no, don't do it please
    it's the only class with a melee weapon (apart from those with tools), if you remove it, it will become just a shooter, not a warband mod.
    Or if you want to change the classes please let at least one to spawn with a sword.

  14. Mod is dying?

    this mod is very alive, it's the second most played mod, after crpg. You probably came online when it was deep night in Europe, so most of the servers were empty.
    About this mod dying, I can say one thing though: that unfortunately I see that the devs are not very interested in updating it (not even a small patch in almost a year) so if it continues this way a lot of players will get bored and leave.

    Just played for a couple of hours, and I love this mod!!


    I agree with the suggestion of adding a local chat, because otherwise if you play in a team you either don't communicate much, or spam the global chat.
