There's something that always bothered me about M&B, both the original and Warband; how annoying it is to shop for a specific item. For example, I'm wanting to upgrade my armor and want a suit of plate with some positive modifier (Thick, Lordly if I can afford, etc.). So the best way to find this is to turn on cheat mode, teleport around to any city that'll let me in the gate, hope that somewhere on the map has one, be disappointed, then wait around till the next time shops refresh inventory and start over. Some sort of special order catalog would be very nice.

Also, it seems something like this has been done before, but is very old..

Ah, didn't know about the diminishing return on renown thing. I did a search, but I didn't find anything

Also, how would I turn a profit if a potential prisoner ran away? Routers promptly get a club in the back of the head..

The one thing I'd like to see: ability to tweak with deserter party size/level. I just loved seeing 20-30 Swadian Knights running about ready to destroy my party. I think this was covered in the tweaks thread, but I'm not very good at messing with large text files filled with numbers

I remembered the other thing I was thinking - It would also be nice to twink with the amount of time it takes to build ladders/siege towers as it's really annoying to take several days of sitting around building the siege towers..

I seem to have the same problem - I'd rather be training more top tier troops than buy armor. I can never have enough Adenian Elite Archers, they're VERY easy to kill and not too easy to replace. Also, having 40-50 Heavy Cavalry in an open terrain is nearly unstoppable... so I have several hundred in garrisons.

Speaking of money shortages, my favorite piece of armor I'll never be able to afford was a reinforced Dark plate that was selling for a nice quarter of a million denars..

Quick random question - if I give one of my little villages to a lord so that he has a fief, does the shrine and monastery keep doing their faith thing? I don't know if I should bother building them first.

I was playing around with the Adenians today, and I think that their archer line is a little underarmored; they don't survive in sieges at all. Had about 40 men with me when siegeing Suno earlier, half Heavy Cavalry and half Elite Archers. Had my men standing ground near the castle to fire on the guys on the walls, and about halfway thru my pile of arrows all of the archers were on the floor and the dismounted cav were standing around looking bored.. I had lots of arrows to pick up and fire but I'd rather have my troops.

Is it just me, or are siege towers one of the most annoying things in the game? They take AGES to build, and you finally do get it built, it takes ages to crawl up to the castle, all the while your troops ignore your commands and stand in a line next to where the tower starts. And it's REALLY fun if you manage to get knocked out or run out of arrows or some other circumstance where the best idea is to retreat, because then you get to waste another two or three days to rebuild the tower while the castle gets to rebuild its garrison.

I just ran over some peasants from some Nord village to get my negative standing..

The spawn point thing got me worried that it'd screw up and stop spawning cause I killed the party there, but I'm lucky and the money faucet hasn't turned off. Though at the time it was rather unfortunate, as it was an extra 20 or so Sea Raiders and 15 Looters on top of the 40 I was intending to get.. A bit much for 14 Mercenary Cavalry and me.
