    Some of you sexist trolls are hilarious, and obviously hate strong women, probably because we hurt your fragile little egos. Try living in the real world instead of the delusional one you've made up that think you guys are superior to women. Nothing I've said is untrue, as a google search will reveal if you know, are too afraid to leave your PC and look around the real world. I, like Boudica are stronger then most men despite what ever delusions you harbor over it being impossible.

    Thankfully at least there are some good guys around here that dont believe the nonsense being spewed. Right now, in real life, women are doing 'guy jobs', and fighting terrorists, on a front line no less, DEAL WITH IT. No amount of your sexist whining is going to change this, theres so many news articles to prove women are fighting and winning in war.

    Not really... she said she gets satisfaction when the guy gets pissed off because it was a woman that caught him, not because its a guy that was caught. Its like laughing at a nazi that gets caught by a jewish cop.. only that's more extreme.

    As for the whole women cant take on a stronger foe. What has this got to do with anything? Here in the UK women arent allowed on the frontlines, not because they're not strong enough (which isnt true because if you're in the army that means you've passed all the training and fitness tests and whatever) They're not allowed on the front line because the army thought that the men might risk their lives to rescue a downed female without thinking it out.

    Exactly you got it right, im not sexist against men, and I have great respect for a man who doesnt make stupid comments that women are not equal and shouldnt be doing certain things.  I would laugh too if it was a jewish cop who got a nazi, the gist of what I was saying was I like seeing sexist men get disproved about their dumb ideas about women.

    Yes, most women couldnt pass military fitness exams and be qualified for military life, Im not disputing that, but if a woman IS Capable, and despite masochistic propaganda some women are very qualified, she shouldnt be discriminated against because shes a woman, anyone who can do the job should get the job is what I advocate.

    Just FYI to sexist trolls, there are women on SWAT Teams and Fighter jet Pilots and in submarine crews now to name a few (google it if you think im lying), Oh and just last month women started serving on the frontlines in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thats real Progress like it or not.

    You can spout all the BS you want that its impossible for a woman to be capable for 'man jobs' but all it is is BS, there are some women very capable and fortunately governments are letting it happen.

    In a way I sort of feel bad for all the sexist people trolling this threat. In the future women are only going to be more equalized with men. It'll be fun seeing the trolls stewing in anger about all the opportunities that'll be open to women that sexist men dont think women have any business doing.     But on topic, the fact this thread is the largest on the forum, should tell Taleworlds how big a issue this is, and the trolls are only helping prove the point. Any issue that two opposing sides are passionate about is important.

    Some of you guys have no idea about martial arts. Its not wrestling or boxing, those need strength. Martial Arts is about Skill and speed, you could be the biggest toughest Brawling guy in the world and if your fighting a girl who knows her **** and is fast and lithe, your going down.

    No one is saying every woman can do everything a man can. In my youth I was a Martial Arts champion, but I know its not something every girl could do, the point is it just takes one woman deciding to do something and succeeding that makes it proof women are capable of doing anything a man can. Its easy to dismiss famous women in history, but the fact they accomplished their goals means they were capable.  It doesnt matter Jeanne D'Arc was a religious nut case, what matters is she was a woman who indeed led men in battle. Yes she also got hurt alot, but then so does everyone in war, no one who is a soldier escapes their time in the military with no wounds, even miner.

    Also a man doesnt have to be gay, or feminine to support women, they just have to be a decent human being to acknowledge the fact that all humans are equal, no matter their gender or ethnicity.  Its amazing still in this day and age you still have people that want to suppress another group of people, despit the fact science has already proven women can do anything a man can.  Again, not on the scale of every girl going out and being lumberjacks or coal miners, but there are women fully capable of such things.  This kind of thing makes me glad Im an American, because over here no one ever told me I couldnt do something because Im a woman, if a woman has her mind set on something, she is encouraged, which is how it should be. Not like the Dark Ages that still go on in Continental Europe.

    I prefer walks at midnight, under a full moon, and not on a beach, places more morbid. but hey thats just me. Not all women are the make babies, stay at home and cook kind of girls, but as what was pointed out the main character is a exceptional hero and considering in this age the game is set having a black or a asian exceptional hero in Eastern Europe would be as rare as a female exceptional hero. Also it takes not much additional effort to code in women, the modders already weighed in, it'd be easy.

    Its not feminism, its just basic equal rights, this is a game series that has welcomed women in the past, to start alienating women now is lame.

    You've obviously never met a female bodybuilder :wink: They can flatten many guys like a pancake. Granted, women with such amazonian muscles are rare, but they do exist. But women can be strong enough that its being put through US Congress now to allow women to fight on the front lines with guys. Im sure they wouldn't do that if the military didn't have women in it capable of handling combat.

    Actually, women in a FPS was done already. Alittle game series some might not have heard of  called "Call of Duty" had female NPCs on the frontline during the Russian campaigns and again also during the Allies Campaign when working with the French Resistance. In fact even Medal of Honor games have done that.

    Lets not also forget Rainbow Six Vegas 2 where you could play a fully voiced female soldier, which i thought was pretty awesome. Its too bad for the sexist little boys, western games already progressed to the point where playable women soldiers are common enough from Call of Duty to Mass Effect and no one bats an eyelash about it. In fact Female Shepard was voted to be the most popular player character in mass effect. Its just what people expect these days, i know some guys egos cannot accept it, but women can do anything a guy can do, and better.

    Some of the most Decorated Snipers and Ace Pilots in history were women. Which makes a game more realistic including them, so some of the guys around here really need to grow up. Theres no such thing as a boys only club anymore in the gaming world, unless you know, you guys are gay.

    1.  You've ignored history when it wasn't convenient.  When people found examples that were directly relevant, you've ignored them.
    2.  You've distorted what we've said and claimed that we're either gay, sexual deviants, or at least terrible feminist liberals out to "revise history".
    3.  You've erected all sorts of straw-man arguments, claiming everything from making this right being a blow against an "oppressed" population of male gamers to the need to "protect historical accuracy" to "supporting female players is bad for sales" to "real fans wouldn't care about this".  That we've shot all of these arguments down, with none of the cursing and insults that we've received, is telling.
    4.  When none of the above worked, every one of you has resorted to using foul language and trying to shout us down.
    5.  When it's been pointed out that the posters in the thread are at least 2:1 for including females, that gets ignored, too.
    6.  When it's been pointed out that it would hurt nobody at all, that gets ignored.

    In short, you're trying to imply stuff that hasn't happened, as part of arguments that are unsupported and spurious, to build a straw-man case... again. 

    I'm not exactly a feminist radical, people.  I believe in freedom and fun, preferably for the maximum number of gamers, and I think that female players are a very important audience, from a business perspective. 

    I've participated in this debate because I know that a lot of women are very reluctant to defend themselves on "male turf" because of the horrible, crude things that get said to them.  I've put up with being told to suck dicks and balls, being told that I'm not properly functional sexually, and have been cursed at repeatedly, because I have a pretty thick skin and I'd rather take it like a real man than watch you do it to a woman.

    Thats the way of the troll, they ignore FACT when its inconvenient and only remember fact when it supports them and even then their history is wrong. I find it hilarious they go on about realism when there is no way in hell you'd ever see a black man or a asian man on the Throne of Poland or Russia in this time period. If you suggested that was 'realism' to a history professor they'd laugh your ass out of the room.  All the trolls have proven is they are stupid and sexist. They even forget TW didnt make the game, it was outsourced, so the company who did make the game may well have been sexist.

    Maybe they arent from the US, as I've noticed in general Eastern Europeans tend to be horribly sexist, but this is a big issue in the US given how many women DO play games here and have to fight tooth and nail to gain new freedoms, and no matter how the sexist ignorant trolls try to stop us we keep knocking them on their arses.

    some of you guys are pathetic, in how little you regard women and their rights as a gamer. Your probably the same people who harass female gamers every time you see them in multiplayer game. Its sad fragile male egos cant accept powerful women. All these excuses you come up with to defend your chauvinistic point of view is laughable at best, I dont know how old some of you guys are but hope you can learn to live without women in your lives because no self respecting woman will ever put up with a man who doesnt think women have a place in the world, or gaming. Also, Read a book, your "facts" about history made you guys look completely stupid as there were historically powerful women whom commanded armies, there have been many Queens of England for example, some of them ruling without a man by the side, so dont be so ignorant.

    I think the best design choice would've been to do three or four starting characters for the different factions. As it is, when I make a guy he just gets plopped down in the middle of the map. This worked okay for the free-for-all fortune-seeking feel of Calradia, but I don't think it fits the nationalist conflicts of With Fire and Sword.

    People tend to have a skewed view of history when it comes to Women and Non people. So much discrimination in the world. As if there werent Queens and Tsarinas and female warriors. They were rare, granted but then so is the kind of hero your suppose to become during the course of the game, so it balances itself out.  Im Sure all the Queens of England's past would *love* to hear people being so discriminate against historical women in power.

    The whole book excuse is equally lame, your NOT a character from a book. They had a name and a background. You dont, meaning its only loosely based on the book. Way to debate discrimination.

    Did you miss the point that there are female warriors you recruit, not just mercs but "officers" ? So much for realism.  Its bunk and I will not support taleworlds anymore as neither my upset friends unless they get their heads out of their arse. Its a game not a documentary, you cant have it both ways, either its a true, complete historical realism with NO female warriors at all or its not.  Plain Sexism.

    The heart of the matter is alot of men still havent grown up from being sexist to accept women can do everything they can. At least in the US its going through congress to allow women to serve on the front lines as soldiers just as men can. Hopefully some of the little boys can accept they have women fighting for freedom when that happens. Really in this day and age, sexism is pathetic, its a shame mostly in Europe men are still so sexist, you guys really need a beat down -- by a woman.

    And I give a big middle finger to people and even the designers who might be upset Im playing as a woman in WFaS. I simply dont care, I wouldn't care either if the npcs were upset (in fact I'd prefer it), I'd love for men in the game to get all upset to meet a strong woman and try to stop my rise to power. This is a game, not a documentary, if someone wants to play a woman, its their right especially when the option was there, Europeans need to learn to stop being so sexist. "Oh my goodness a strong woman! We cant have that!"

    And ironically, I am a Polish woman, hence the name Lena.
