  1. Will heavy armor actually be more heavy?

The average US military soldier today carries equipment that is heavier than wearing full plate. Guns and ammo, their armor and their massive backpacks full of equipment, enough food and water to last several days, and some personal items, all of that can easily add up to 70 kg. And they are still expected to be as agile, mobile to avoid getting shot to death. If they ran as fast as the "heavy" infantry did in that Purzelblume video they would either be shot dead or deemed unfit to join the military and be discharged from duty.

Also, people today are just simply straight up weaker than people of medieval times. Conscripted recruits in europe are usually made of farmers, who spend almost their entire lives working the farm every single day plowing fields, carrying food and water, building the houses, and much more. These are physically draining tasks that build up muscles. Knights or nobility spend their entire childhood training how to ride horses, use various weapons, and very likely training their strength up until the age of 16 or so. The myth that "heavy" armor is super slow and heavy needs to stop.

Actually, Fire arrows were used for attacking towns.

    Got a source for this?

For example, I played For Honor 1v1 knowing almost no combos. All I did was parry/block and/or do a counter attack. One basic fencing technique is to position yourself just outside the enemy attack and then counter attack the enemy just nearing the end of his attacking cut. I hit the enemy so many times with basic attacks that did almost no damage and you know what he KO-ed me with 2 powerful combos that cannot be blocked. The only way to avoid theses combos is to dodge. You tell me how this is realistic? If you ever seen real fencing, people are careful with the distance and timing to never get hit once. For honor does not reward realistic fencing but rewards street fighter kind of combos on steroids. So, for honor just makes you memorirse the best unblockable combos and spam it at the right time. In essence it is like a console fighting game than a medieval combat simulator. It only looks cool and realistic because of the mocap animation they used to give that illusion.

You can parry an unblockable in For Honor with a heavy attack in the right time. You are most likely playing some very early low level duels considering how you didn't even know that. Watch some current high level plays and for a lack of better word, "git gud". The game is about baiting your opponent into doing moves then countering it with an attack.

For honor competitive scene is also so broken atm. Look at the last tournament: it's all about finding exploits to execute overpowered combos like this:

Yea, so no thanks. keep bannerlord like warband but do make it better and address the facehug. No other game has this kind of good combat system so don't break it.

This tournament was years ago. They have made several improvements to the game, buffed and reworked many heroes, and added new ones, while patching exploits. Its perfectly playable now. Bannerlord should be taking notes and looking at how the game is played by hgihly skilled players and implementing features from For Honor.

  4. Why nobody likes Sturgia

Im fairly certain that the Nords are not going to be added because TaleWorlds plans on avoiding the current "politically correct" landscape. Mjolnir's is officially regonized as a symbol of hate speech and white supremacy. Which is pretty understandable considering how much backlash Battlefield 5 has recieved for twisting history.

In recent years, Mjölnir has also been used by Neo-Nazis (and other white supremacist groups) as a means of reclaiming their tribal heritage.[35] This use of the symbol is most commonly found in tattoos and protest imagery. Certain Neopagan groups, mainly the American branch of Asataru, have recently experienced political and social controversy due to the racial nature of their religious beliefs. The heavy emphasis placed on European preservation corresponds with core values held by self-identified white supremacist organizations. These commonalities served as the basis for the creation of the term "Odinist" which has become a descriptor of the racial variants of the religion among practitioners of the non-racial variants of the faith.

Which is exactly what I would expect from the game.
Yes armour wasn't as heavy as films make out, but someone in a gambeson is more agile than someone draped in mail etc.

The very first reply to this thread from Huggles directly counters your argument. Did you even bother reading before posting stupid **** like this?

TW claim that ai Lords can do anything the player can and will play to the same rules/features. Equally, ai combat and tactics are supposed to be smarter/tougher. If so, ai Lords should be able to tank up their stats as the game progresses, limiting the amount a player can outclass them. We’ve already seen from gameplay videos that ai Lords can recruit their own companions who could also prove interesting opponents in battle.

    Alright thanks for the info.
  7. Boss enemies

Last time I checked, commanders of battle don't rush into battle headfirst then get swarmed to death.
  8. Boss enemies

    Knez 说:
Yes there are higher tier enemies. They are called lords and elite troops.

They don't have special attributes or something besides different armor and they all die in the first 5 seconds of battle.
  9. Boss enemies

Will this game have higher tier enemies in a siege or battle? Like a final boss after a long battle with high stats?
