  1. No Cavalry Playthrough

Yeah I suppose this is true, the battles got so big lately I've taken to hiding behind a tree drinking tea. Starting to get battle fatigue after the 8th round of slaughter.

My main issue with the game is the amount of grind it takes to achieve anything, enemy factions seem to require putting to the sword three times over before they'll be wiped out.

Fighting endless hordes of recruits, militia and peasants starts to get dull after a while.

Btw if you want more views for the video you should probably post them somewhere other than this pretty dead forum, I can leave this forum for 3 months and come back to the same posts
  2. No Cavalry Playthrough

Aww that last video almost made me cry

I've watched all your video's

Just because on the off chance I happen to be running an int build Rhodok run atm. I went with a female char and Merchant-Apprentice-Student-Forced out. For max int asap. Character was so weak I had to grind bandit lair quests to lvl up. I use the crossbow a lot more than you do. Still struggling with combat in siege taking the keep/streets stages.

Was wondering what one handed weapon you would recommend? I've been using the spiked mace which seems okay. My stats are agi 6 str 10 wp master 3 ps 0.

I use almost exactly the same battle plan you use, tapping those F keys is routine now

One thing I did differently which helps a lot is getting surgery up to 10+4 as fast as possible. I'd maxed med skills at lvl 16 and was still using the hunting crossbow
  3. Gaining exp. with a commander build

Really you'd want at least 10 strength so you can use a siege crossbow, and 3-4 powerstrike/weaponmaster.

Might be ok with 9 str 9 agi or 9/6 lower than that would be hard.
  4. Infantry Playthrough

So I'm playing as a foot soldier with the nords, I modded the throwing weapons to 10 per stack. A few other mods i was considering were boosting athletics so it's actually useful, making the player command all troops when you join allies in field battles and making the player always spawn with...
  5. In Battle Commands

Backspace for command screen and hold f1 for hold position.
  6. What is the highest level you reached in a non-cheated game?

If you want survivability then start a char with 4 riding: male nomad, steppe child/page, squire, revenge. Then simply put every point into strength. 40 strength and 10 IF equals about 100hp.

With lordly armour a morningstar to crush through and a war bow you are a killing machine.
  7. Real speed run this time. (Finished - 162 days)

I had a quick try at this, wanted to do no companions but it's annoying if you do get knocked out to lose all the skills, so ended up taking one with first aid.

Soloing went well enough did a lot of save scumming, shot a lot of bolts. Find it really hard to play the battles safely, I get impatient/cocky and start charging archers and getting my horse killed.

I got impatient and didn't solo for long enough, I suppose at this point is about when you'd gather companions and spend more time grinding bandits. As for skill points I put a lot in first aid before I realised it's useless if you're on your own, went for 0 spotting and 7 strength, sieges were hard/impossible with such a useless crossbow and poor proficiency (1 wm) and to few troops. Field battles however were a breeze with 50 Swadian Knights, I could have pretty much just left the room and still won the majority of battles. Although autocalc is predictably hilarious; I attacked 8 peasants with about 50 knights and 20 nord infantry and they managed to kill 3 knights and 5 huscarls???

Had a few ideas not sure if any of them are worthwhile; Sowing chaos and war to get the factions to weaken each other, you can do the make war quests and leave that faction join another and repeat or join the strongest faction and run around taking all the disputed towns/castles and leaving them weakly garrisoned. That wouldn't take that much time and should get everyone fighting nicely. Would probably have you be the most hated person in Calradia though.
  8. Bored

Finally installed your mod Tocan, it's pretty good haven't had much chance to explore the features properly yet. But it seems close enough to native without being boring.

Thanks for working on it
  9. Bored

How do you make the game more interesting? I've already conquered the world and tried out lots of different chars/strats, it seems like once you have mastered it the game isn't very deep and is just a grind until win deal. Any interesting characters/playthroughs that are worth trying? I...
