It does not make the game more balanced. Nord Scouts can get free javs (as well as a hunter) and drop those stacks to infantry, while every other faction must pay 300 gold for that same advantage. Having 1200 gold on the other hand gives those other factions a chance to even the odds. Using 1000 gold in the practice run of what we hope to be a very successful UNAC 5 when we know it was extremely unpopular in BIT just seems like a waste of time and increases the chance that it won't be a successful tournament.
We've been through this once before in BIT. If this is the way people want to go, don't let me stand in your way -- but I won't be playing.
