  1. Still no better dialogue for spouse?

Playing on the latest version, I had hoped that by now some more dialogue options with ones spouse would be implemented and existing dialogue polished up a bit; my wife still calls me "commander" come on guys! Topics could or should include state of children, maybe choosing name for them...
  2. Cannot find companion in castle

This is an announce more than a bug as the solution so pretty easy.

if you have a companion as a Castle governor and remove or replace them they remain at the castle but you cannot find them in any part of it. The solution is to set them as the governor again and then they appear in the castle and can be added to your party. This isn’t a problem in towns as when you remove or replace them they go to the tavern. I think it might be because noble hang out in the keep/castle and wanderers hang out in the bar.
Funny I just reported this as a bug which it is, but happy to report that your solution works I just tried it. I am playing main 1.5.1.2. To be clear though for this method to work you must first click on the empty field placing no one as governor, then click on the follower and she-he will reappear in the castle tab highlighted in green and you can talk-recruit again. Until the next time....
  3. Resolved Cannot talk to follower placed at castle

I believe this to be a bug; I placed two of my followers at two castles as governors there. They will show in the display with their name highlighted in green at first and at this point I can still talk or recall them. After leaving they no longer appear in the tab as a castle occupant, they...
  4. Remove timer on main quest!

I approve this timer is not a good idea, i have stop the game for this timer...
Yes sadly I also lost interest and stopped playing until that is addressed, and if not I will wait for game completion and use mods to fix that.
Right now the campaign is the exact opposite from what I thought we would get with the inheritance structure, a game experience stretched out rather than rushed by a deadline. I really wish they would at least explain their thinking behind that.
  5. Did You Know that the Main Quest Can 'Time Out'? I think this should be changed.

I hear you. I think it has been mentioned somewhere that we are going to get a (native) sandbox gamemode further down the line. So I'm looking forward to the time when that happens. For now I just kinda ignore the main story or roll with it, it's a hassle, sure, but I rather not install half baked mods that break from patch to patch and in some cases bork my saves.
Fully agree, I think running mods on a game still in development is a bad idea and I am staying away from them too for the reasons you mentioned.
Lets hope you are right about the Native mode.
  6. Marriage attempts are far too brutal

So first of as already mentioned save your game before you pop the question! Both before proposing and before talking about dowry.
Second, millionaire? I paid under 4000 for dowry, just a formality.
Third, Charm does matter, mine was level 36 when I proposed. I don't know what it should be but the higher the better.
Fourth, I belonged to no faction and had no fiefs when I got married to Abagai, so in this scenario it does not seem to matter in what faction you are looking or that you have property. If you already belong to a faction it may be different I don't know, but it stands to reason that you can only look in a friendly faction where you are liked.
Lastly in case you did not know there seems to be an age limit for males to be eligible, it is 35 according to other posts. I hope they will change that as it is way too young imo. So the game does not indicate this but there is pressure to get married early on but your timing in terms of charm stats and age has to be just right. I just got it all perfectly lined up by chance.
  7. Party size sudden drop?

    Solved:
It was the Quartermaster perk, I switched quartermaster from my spouse to myself in order to level that skill, but hers was much higher.
Switched it back to my wife being Quartermaster and it went back to 110 maximum troop capacity.
  8. Update to 1.3?

Yes it just updated to 1.3
  9. Party size sudden drop?

I suddenly went from 110 troop size to 99 maximum party size. I went back to a previous save where I still have 110 and I cannot figure out what has changed. Now I am one short to meet the stupid main quest requirement. Anybody can tell me what could reduce the party size so drastically? Thanks
  10. Did You Know that the Main Quest Can 'Time Out'? I think this should be changed.

If you were 36, I'd be surprised, but the mechanic I heard was that 35 was the limit, so it sounds like you just barely made it in time. I haven't heard anything to suggest the age of the woman matters.
Wow, seems like up until now I stumbled my way into a pretty nice set up, until recently I was totally unaware of the timer for the quest and marriage age limits. Neither makes sense for the society we supposedly are immersed in. .
Btw does anyone know if you can remarry if your wife dies in childbirth? Assuming one is not too old I guess.
  11. Did You Know that the Main Quest Can 'Time Out'? I think this should be changed.

Preaching to the choir friend. The main quest needs to be either changed or be optional i.e. sandbox mode (native, I know there are mods but meh).
Yeah I know, just hope the more we talk about it the higher the chance the dev pay attention. I don't want to resort to mods either.
  12. Did You Know that the Main Quest Can 'Time Out'? I think this should be changed.

You're too old. After a certain age, I believe 35, you're too old to get married and can no longer initiate the process.
I got married at 35 to a lady about 10 years younger, so either I got lucky or the age limit is random. More likely other factors in play like charm?
  13. Remove timer on main quest!

The fact that there is an arbitrary deadline on the main story that you can fail is almost game breaking for immersion. Because it really restricts RP aspects of the game and goes against the whole concept of Strategy where you the player should decide when the time is right for a given move...
  14. Family Feud

They may return when the village gets rebuild, you could try and go back to it at a later point.
  15. Did You Know that the Main Quest Can 'Time Out'? I think this should be changed.

Yeah indeed it does, at least to me.
I though that I might be ok with that concept, but now that I am at that point I realize that not only do I not like being forced into that decision by time pressure but I think it really goes against the concept of strategy which is to wait for the right moment to strike! I want to decide when that moment has come for me not some deadline that is disconnected from where I am at in the game. I am fine with them wanting to introduce a main quest, but setting a time limit for decisions is a really bad idea the more I think on it for RP and realistic immersion sake.
I hope they will hear the complaints and at least make it optional. I still think its an awesome game and I want it to succeed.
