  1. Looting dead soldiers

That's a better idea for anyone who wishes to go down the path of an "adventurer" in the campaign, which mainly entails completing quests and the like. But yeah, the troops stealing the loot factor is something that I would minimize if I was making this MOD myself.

I guess that my idea of a bank is more suited to a player aspiring to become an important aristocrat or king in his own right, which would mean that they would own towns and such where those banks would be located.
  2. Looting dead soldiers

When it comes to a factor such as in-battle looting by your troops, that's just something you can exclude. But the other scenarios you've described fit a campaign setting perfectly in my opinion. But as a further elaboration on this idea, there should be some sort of place where the player could safely store the more valuable items.

This could either take the form of a bank, or a tavern where you store objects and/or money in a chest.
  3. Looting dead soldiers

I can certainly see the merits/possibilities in carrying over this idea to multiplayer, but I think the idea will adapt the best to single player.
  4. Merchant/trader playthrough?

I like this idea. It forces the player to think more about what they are doing in game, which is quite a deviation from just rashly attacking your enemies over and over again until they submit. Within this MOD or DLC you would probably have to implement things such as banks, where you as a trader can safely store you hard earned gold.

This bank could be situated in a neutral town in the middle of the map, or just one bank in each town. What I also like about this idea is that the importance of otherwise unimportant figures in Calradian society is elevated, not to mention all the room for intrigue and the like. You could also turn the tables on a concept such as honor, and have disadvantages come with being honorable or dishonorable as a trader.
  5. Looting dead soldiers

Personally I love the concept behind this idea, it can give players an extra incentive to keep on fighting and keep on winning. I agree that it may be a bit more difficult to create for each individual fallen warrior instead of simply a lord, but I do think that it's possible. Being able to loot every 5th fallen warrior for instance would be a way to mitigate that, which would be indicated by some sort of marker above the warrior's corpse. But I suppose that MB already does that to a certain extent. Here are some of my own variations surrounding this idea (which are partially based off Lord Milky's)

    - warriors of higher ranks have the occasional rare item, but always carry around 350-500 denars with them that can be retrieved by the player

    - lords can be looted for quality armour (lordly pieces) and quality weaponry (tempered pieces) among the already mentioned rare/unique items such as
      books, scrolls, treasure, etc

    - warriors such as caravan guards/masters carry documents pertaining to a hidden chest with valubles which can be found hidden in a guildmaster's shop

    - warriors of lower ranks carry an abundance of food rather than treasure, which can be helpful to a player early on in the game

    - any fallen mercenary warriors of a higher social status (a knight for example) can also be carrying a quest item that leads to a neutral location on the
map (a new Zendar or something)

  6. Mercenary Attacking Faction on Truce?

I'm not that familiar with the perks of this particular mod, but won't the town be hostile towards the player in this particular situation?
  7. Can't rebel diplomacy litdum v.3

You could simply renounce your allegiance to Sultan Hakim and then see what happens, which would mean that you would lose all your fiefs (I believe). But seeing as you're having little trouble taking over castles you can just reconquer everything for yourself .
  8. Food amongst the loot?

I believe that successfully performing a quest given to you by a Farmer or Village Elder could also be a source of food from time to time.
  9. Lordly Plate Armor

Congratulations on that find! Even though I wouldn't exactly purchase it myself, I do like finding it at the market of a random town. Is it better than the famous "Black Armour" though?
  10. Mercenary Attacking Faction on Truce?

From my own experience, I don't think you have "screwed over" your mercenary contract. Seeing as you aren't in the employ of "Faction B" you cant exactly be reprimanded in any way. The only thing that could you could cause is a renewal of hostilities between "Faction A" and Faction B".
  11. Making Money in Calradia

Also, for anyone who's new to the game who might find this kind of information important : I always start off with  hunting down bands of Looters (or Bandits depending on how good my small army is), selling the spoils from that while simultaneously completing quests given to me by Guild Masters. Especially if you have to go from town to town, you can always pick up a new mission. After I've been doing that for a couple of days, I have around 3,500 Denars in my inventory.
