    This seems more like the common issue with .dll files being read only because they originate from another PC. Using other programs to unpack zip files, such as 7z, avoids that issue.

    Overall the Microsoft Store version has altered the game quite a bit in both folders and files. Though for a lot of mods on xbox gamepass you can get them to work by renaming the folders of the mod.

    Try the steps below to see if it will resolve the error.

    Shaders Fix
    1. Browse to "C:\ProgramData\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\".
    2. Delete the "Shaders" folder.
    3. Verify your game files through Steam of the Epic Store. This will download the missing files.
      - Epic Store: Open the Library and click on the 3 dots below Bannerlord. Then choose "Verify".
      - Steam: Right-click on Bannerlord and choose "Properties". Go to "Local Files" and choose "Verify Integrity of game files..."
    Update Graphics card drivers
    Check for updates to your graphics card (videocard) and install the latest update.
    Nvidia - AMD - Intel

    Disable Shaders in Nvidia Control Panel (Nvidia graphics cards only)
    1. Open the Nvidia Control Panel.
    2. Go to "Manage 3D Settings".
    3. Change the "Shader Cache" to "off".
    Limit Bannerlord fps
    1. Run Bannerlord Online (or single player if not possible).
    2. Press Escape and go to Options.
    3. Go to Video options.
    4. Reduce the value for "Frame Limited" to 60. This will greatly reduce the CPU load.

    Resolved Game crashes on launch on 1.7.0, 1.7.1, and 1.7.2 and possibly other versions too after tonight's update.

    As Sturmhardt mentioned, the "language_data.xml" files that are new to e1.8.0 are not removed when downgrading and cause a conflict with older versions of Bannerlord (e1.7.2 or older). Manually deleting all the language_data files located in the language folders will resolve the issue.

    You'll have to look for it in your steam directory. I bought it through steam as well. Though I have steam installed on a different hard drive, perhaps the path itself can help you find it;
    My location:  D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\mountblade warband
