Whats the deal with people missing marriage? Courting and marrige wasn't the best part of Warband for me. learning poems, travelling halfway across the map to talk to some girl and her father hates me.....no thanks

Tournaments: got boring very quickly, the only thing saving it for me was the Arena mod that made it a lot better

Come on this game was 9 pounds on steam. not 40 pounds.

Its an expansion not a full update. So far i have put in about 30 hour on the single player and Im sure im going to play it for atleast another 30 hours. Thats good value to me... Portal 2 lasted me 9 hours at about 25 pounds

My opinion is that With Fire and sword is a big improvement on Warband.

Marriage is gone:
Along with courting the whining *****es...Great

Tournaments are gone:
Great they where boring without the Arena Mod anyway. Its out of place at this time period.

Merc camps:
Much better than hiring villagers. You can now equip them with the kit you want. much more realistic

Banking system:
Great idea..You can now get interest on your money or takeout a loan

Ordering special items
another great idea. love it

Sending your companions to college....love it

Battles have changed with musket and grenades:
Its a nice change. forces you to use tatics... another great idea

See for yourself. As always you can try before you buy. You can play the full game until level 7. make your own mind up.

I'm not married and i don't get excited over computer generated females characters, It's bit sad... fair enough if marriage in the game opens up different options like in warband, but its not needed in FS.

Marry companions? why do you fancy them... thats a bit Sad.... I think you lads need to go out at the weekend and get laid

You take the full amount out including interest. you can view the amount of money you have from one of the reports options

I'm sure someone will make a servent mod for managing your lands... I'm glad marrage is gone. its not needed in FS.

At first i didnt like it......too much has changed from warband.....Guns/caravans/no tournaments/ can't hire villagers/ your not a one man army anymore.

But no i feel its much better. once you get some money you can put it in a bank for 14% interest you can also take out a loan if your running low. You can order weapons and armour which takes 2 weeks since its hand made.  Your more of a General now, one good gun shot can put you down.

Training has changed Merc's level up, but you dont magically get armour and weapons, you have to buy it for them. its more realistic.

I dont think i'll go back to Warband ...I'll miss the "prophesy of Pendor" mod.

Im with you on this one. atleast with with warband you could do tournaments and bet on yourself for a few quid. i never needed to trade in any of the Mount and Blade games before. I feel they just killed the franchise.  Its gone like EGOSOFT: X3

Yeah, happened to me too. It's something to do with Steam trying to update your achievements, even though it can't because it's in offline mode. Turn on 'Enable Cheats' in the launcher options, that disables Steam achievements and thus prevents the error.
