The thing that makes vlandia overpowered is its peasants, allowing for extremely good economy, combined with its units all being above average. Maybe khuzait can have advantages over it in more cavalry focused gameplay, but that can't justify it beating out every other faction.
Let's go through each unit:
Peasant, +20 gold on death, cheap cost means get heaps of gold for single kill, which stacks with the perk for more gold too. Bad weapons don't matter as much as they should since they can just pick one up. Commit suicide three times for sergeant, which can easily take out three 100 cost units on its own. Broken.
Voulgier is decent, it's not stronger than comparable units but some factions, (khuzait and empire) don't have these types of units, and this type of unit is quite strong.
Crossbow units: Clearly strongest type of ranged unit in the game. Only weakness is when caught in the open against an archer (which never happens in siege). Is pretty strong close quarters too due to being able to instantly spin around and fire off a bolt. Plus it costs only a peasant and a half to get a crossbow. (it used to be absolutely ridiculous before, 120 gold cost meant every second death you were guaranteed a crossbow).
Sergeant: Strongest heavy infantry in the game. Shield is is more than twice as strong as the best sturgian shield, being able to take over 5 good swings from a sturgian 2H longaxe. Its axe is on the top end for damage, and is abnormally long.
The fact is vlandia has no weaknesses. It's stupid.
