    If I'm not mistaken, that was listed on the official recommended fixes list. I attempted that, and I'm pretty sure everyone else did as well. No results, unfortunately.

    Having similar issues, took all the same measures (save for updating to Windows 10), yielded no results. Tried the multiplayer start trick, but it crashes when I try to launch multiplayer as well.

    Just jump into public servers. You're not going to ruin anybody's game. Just a couple common courtesy things to keep in mind:

    -If you go officer, don't turn and run away from an enemy who is chasing you while reloading.
    -If you're the last person alive, don't run away. Die asap so your teammates can respawn, preferably killing a few enemies beforehand.
