    Hey, thanks for the response. I know that this issue is certainly due to mods. I was just hoping someone who understands this more than i do (which is basically zero) could help point the finger at the mod that is causing the issue, because the game ran pretty damn stable for a long time and then suddenly i could only simulate battles, because loading into the battle scene would crash the game.

    By myself, i am pretty much poking in the dark here, trying random stuff without knowing what is actually going on.

    Does it crash when you and all of your companions enter battle without any armor?
    Can you post your save game?
    I just tried that, unequipping everything, but it still crashed. I remember there being an issue with something related to item weight in kaoses tweaks, so everything that affects item weight is disabled in my settings right now.

    I added the savegame to the google drive with the crash logs, called "Crash.sav" - it's right before i get attacked by 2 sturgian armies while sieging epicrotea.

    There is an exploit with buying slaves from the ransom broker.

    You buy them for 100g each and they sell for ~440g on the market by default. That's not the main thing, though.

    If you sell them to a vendor and then Reclaim them from the top up (reclaim the first one you sold first, the one with the highest value) and all others after that the price will be jacked up. Sometimes to 1110g per slave up to 1500g per slave if you do it with enough slaves or mutliple times with a few.

    Just don't actually sell them to do this. Move them over in the trader menu and then reclaim them. Price will be jacked up without leaving the menu.

    Pretty big, since you can basically get an infinite amount of money.

    Once you actually sold them (clearing out vendors of gold is the only limit here. and the vendor has slaves in his inventory, it doesn't seem to work anymore, though. Even if you got new slaves from a ransom broker.


    Sorry if this was posted already. It wasn't listed in the current issues menu and i didn't read the entire thread.


    Edit: Correction, it only works if you have enough slaves so you can drop the price to 45g, the lowest it can be for slaves, and then reclaim. At 45g, the price doesn't drop any lower, but once you reclaim the, the prices go up for everyone, so it goes way over what they initially were. I am unsure if this means that 1500g is the limit for value, i don't have enough inventory space to test it, since i am not very far into the mod, yet.

    It seems like a second monitor was the problem. I don't know why i tried it, i just had the idea that maybe it was worth a shot. Disabled the 2nd Monitor and launched the game. It launcher for the very first time without comp mode and did not crash for 30 minutes. After that, i exited and checked the rgl_log file and it detected 4GB of Ram. Which is still wrong, but more than enough for Warband.

    I have no idea what the hell this is about. I could play Warband with 2 monitors with win 7 without problems.

    Only idea that could maybe make any sense is that i use my 2nd monitor turned by 90° so it's sideways, which i use for Facebook and Spotify and stuff like that. It's easier to scroll that way. This makes my complete resolution on both displays kind of weird. It's like this right now:

    Maybe this caused the Problem? Although, i have no idea why comp mode would fix that. Especially since the same things happened when i tried it in windowed mode.

    Anyway, it seems like this solved my Problem. Disable the 2nd monitor and it works.

    Mount & Blade: Warband.exe has stopped working.

    What helps a lot of people here is deleting the rgl_conf file in your documents folder. You have to re-do all your settings afterwards, but it should fix the crashes.

    If that doesn't do it, try disabling your 2nd Monitor if you have one.

    Checked the comp thing for Steam already. This was the first thing i found when i looked the error up.

    Redid everything, though. Took M&B out of the comp mode. Steam wasn't in there. I also deleted the rlg-conf file.

    Thing is, without comp mode, i can't get into the Options to change anything. The Launcher Crashes with Windows' "... has stopped working" Error when i click on "Configuration" in the Launcher. As does the game, when i hit "Play" - right after the intro it stops.

    The only way around this i could find, is the Compatibility Mode, which makes the game crash after 5 - 10 minutes at the most.

    Edit: I also tried reinstalling completely several times. Did not make a difference.

    My Computer is pretty decent, actually. Not High-End, but it can hold it's own, i think.

    AMD FX 8350
    16GB Ram
    GTX 970

    I don't think this is an issue. Other than Windows 10, i don't know what it could be in my case. Especially since the Comp Mode makes it work. Although, if anyone has any ideas what it could be, i am more than willing to pursue other ideas while trying to fix this.

    Hey! So i decided to play M&B again after quite a while and had a lot of Probems getting it to run, since it REALLY doesn't like Windows 10, apparently. Only works if i set it to Comp Mode for Win8 oder Win7. Only thing is, if i do that, the rgl_log file shows that it only detects 1024MB of...

This troop would be around tier 4/5, and would represent 50/60% of the garrison. This troop couldn't be obtained by any mean, but by recruiting it in castles. Plus, it couldn't leave the castle.

    That's not a bad idea at all, but i think it's a little too unrealistic to make it impossible for them to leave the castle/town. Instead, maybe make them weaker when they are not stationed somewhere. Less damage and HP, for example.


    About the auto-calculation for resolving battles automatically, i agree. That system is just really bad. I have no idea if it's possible to change that, but it should definitely take the increased strength of higher tier troops into account. If that is too hard to balance, maybe just make it so it counts high tier troops multiple times. For example, I1 troops count as 1 man, and I4 count as 4 (maybe change that based on whether the soldier in question is Infantry, archer or cavalry.)

    Hope you guys don't mind me just throwing that idea around here, even though it's a little off topic.

    I think the amount of troops in castles and cities is pretty good, actually. (Although maybe an option could be added to increase the amount of troops for people who want the game to be even harder)

    But i think the AI could use a little help when it comes to deciding what to attack, like you said. It just doesn't make sense that a kingdom attacks a castle on the other side of the map just because it has a weak garrison because it was just attacked. Not a very strategic move.
