Do you mean saves from before the hotfix?

As I am hearing it works for some on the danish side. (Im on the Danish)

I have been able to get permission from almost any lord, no matter if relations are negative.

I also have this issue. Beda is in my party and Old Sea Captain won't advance the quest.

Danmark and Norvegr are VERY GOOD about killing any small parties in their lands. I noticed that each kingdom is restricted to a small area and they don't sail away much at all. This means both kingdoms have 5-6 armies running around killing all the bandits and such most of the game. Frise has a harder time because they only have 4 armies total. I find (late-game at least) there are 80+ groups of Vikingr wandering around the British Isles. I find most ruffians and vikingr groups in Northern England/Scotland. However I almost never needed to fight these groups. Between pillaging monestaries and fighting Picts, there is usually plenty of war somewhere in England. I also find that Happy Widows are the best thing for moral, 1500 gold for 13 moral and you can repeat it.

The very first monastery you go to for the land dispute quest was my first raid. I did it right after the quest and found it very funny lol.

First thing I did with those 27 men was raid all across Britian. Raid, raid, raid monasteries and you will make buckets of gold. Your reputation goes down a lot but you can easily make it back up in the main story line. I have two ships now, can hold 83 men.

I have this quest.

You are not looking for the actual party of the lord.

Look for 'West Saxe Patrol' and go to them


However after this point, the game breaks for me at the dialog options. Please tell me if you can complete dialog with West Saxe patrol.
