    Assign them to their own group and tell arrows to not shoot in the battle. i dont know why this just occurred to me today. im sure many of you know already but i wanted to share it for everyone's benefit.

    and compainions can ve it as well..... they increase relation with the clan so what your companions do also effect you
    so having your companion parties with you will double the effect.....

    oh it may be, i havent trusted the perks too much but most should be working by now.i tried waiting in a citty by myself and it didn't seem to work

    oh i see your point, just walk around and the collect the whole stack of troops from each city. well thats a good way to play but kind of bland. i always like having my own personal troop which ends up being mostly cav and legionaries.

    what level of recruiting difficulty are you playing on? i was on realistic which is no problem until mid-late. i cant keep up the same attrition rate as some bloated enemy kingdoms. thats why i was so happy to find out how to increase recruiter relations in cities - because i dont have the time to run around and do quests when its war back to back to back ever since i gave the dragon banner to the Northern Kingdom. but sitting in a city with an army, that i can do.

    yes i totally agree. can almost AFK it, which is cool. just need to keep the cohesion in the army assuming you have a ton of influence to dump.

    well the part where my army did not defend the city were waiting in, yes that was broken. I was like lol cowards they wont defend, but they will sally out with you. i tried but couldnt do it, so i took the 3rd option to break out.

    Yes the folks who live in the city recruiters, nobles, basically all NPC on the city menu. I tried it with just my party but it seemed to go up way slower if at all. it may have been my companions parties. but with the army I knew thats what was driving up the relations on 2x speed while "waiting here for some time"

I also learned that if you vote for another lord to get the castle or city (by spending influence) your relationship goes up by a ton if they win.
