Hmm what would be the best city to capture.
I've just started (1 week) Build an massive army and Discovered the whole map.
But which is the best city to take?
Not only economically, but also strategicly?
I've been thinking to take Sisterton since its really small or Bravos, but Braavos is quite far away from the main island (westeros)
For me what I did in 0.8 to great effect is I took Lorath first. You can just rush in and conquer it all at once if youre a total hulk, or you can do it slowly. I also didnt realize how expensive war with bravos would be as that is the next target for me so this time Im trying something different. I did freelancer in various Lords armies til about level 20. Then I went and became a Lord of Bravos. Mind you, my party is just Brynden Rivers, the Osgray NPC and myself. Im keeping expenses down as rock bottom as possible. Only adding heroes when I find them. I currently own 30 acres of land in Bravos. I plan on staying a Lord in Bravos until I own 100 acres in both Bravos and around 150 in Lorath before I go to war so that I have a very solid foundation financially, once I conquer Lorath. Lorath is great but assuming you are fighting bravos as soon as you are a Kingdom, the three villages will be raided nonstop so you wont collect any rent from those. Give them to your Lords and hold on to the town and castle. The income of those coupled with your rent should be enough to eventually allow you to secure Lorath and push back the invaders. After that, you can take the fight to the Bravosi. Go straight for Bravos and attack as much as necessary until you win. Once you win, your property inside should have a HUGE amount of money for you that has accumulated and you can use to fortify Bravos from reprisals. After that its just mop up the surviving Bravosi strongholds which is usually much easier after Bravos.
PS even if you dont like Lorath always remember. Its honorable and profitable to ransom Lords UNLESS you are in the process of attempting to conquer that faction. If that is the case never and I mean NEVER ransom a Lord. their respawn time is ridiculous and the only way to get them to not follow you and take anything you conquer right back after you leave is to throw them in jail. I invaded the North in 0.8. I started in Kings Landing with about 310 troops. Ran into King Robb and a few lords near gods Eye. I won but was down to about 260 surviving (200 combat effective, 60 injured). I proceeded north. Was slowed down a little fighting Lords but it didnt add more than a day at most. Ran into Robb again in the Neck. After that I was down to about 200 surviving (150/50). I went straight for Winterfell and by the time I arrived he was inside with over 220 of his own troops plus Winterfells actual garrison. I had to just give up. Dont let that happen to you. When out for conquest, take prisoners. (if they escape they oh well, not in your hands but pray for some prisoners cuz its so much easier)

Moses check the battle log and see if youre in the midst of enemy troops. Ive been spawning with my own guys but I believe as a third party (kind of like in tournaments) because I know for a fact I killed some of my own guys. I chased down 12 bandits and I killed over 38 Glaivemen in the last battle. The filthy scum turn mutinous on the high seas apparently
