    I guess I was pretty lucky, although the start was tougher than I make out in the AAR. Problem is, mercs are expensive to buy an pay upkeep, and come in small numbers. I'm not able to top up from villages, so initially I had no cash for soldiers, and no soldiers to protect me so I could get cash.
