    I haven't tried reinstalling steam, i guess it would be a more extreme fix but I might try it. Also no, no other game has ever given me any problem like this before.

    Yah, i've tried fixing the issue 2 or 3 times over time so steam has been rebooted a few times.

    Advance/retreat 10 paces requires no targeting and attention to issue. I can just spam it quickly. I typically lead the calvery in battle so i'm not sitting behind the lines commanding. Sometimes stopping to target a location with f1 f1 can be life or death for me with this game's archers.
