I liked Gun, although I never quite managed to complete the ending (I don't think, just remember being frustrated so many times) which was very arcade like. It is a kill-the-near-invincible-boss type of ending, which makes it very knife edge stuff, since you have to be careful not to get shot and keep running. Not the most satisfying (and certainly not realistic) way for me to end the game though. All in all, I enjoyed Gun a lot. The general playability was good, had plenty of decent missions, a few very good.

The only other Western genre game I can remember playing (at least since 'North & South' on the Amiga more than 15 years ago) was a Half Life 1 mod. That was fun as well, but I only played it on single player, not sure if it could be played online.

loot is only profitable when you attack Lord's parties, stage coaches, deserters (even large groups of them) never have a lot of loot...

if you aren't in any faction and you will take over enemy fort ord city, your faction will be automaticly created...but you can't hire lords for it.
