A surprise, for sure, but a very thematic one

Agreed - I am having them regularly. It's a good few seconds every time, and I think my PC's running hotter than it was.

What I often do is obtain the most expensive armour possible from the game shops, so perhaps Legionary Mail or a Western hauberk, then swap it out for the armour I want using the DevConsole inventory menu. It's not a perfect workaround, but it lets me pay fat stacks for armour and also get the armour I want which I can't get.
