  1. Defeated kingdoms rising?

    Thank you for your help

I think you misunderstood what I meant with "have to fix it". It was the concept of tweaking that baffled me. I'm really incompetent when it comes to modifying my own games and would really rather not meddle with it, since I fear I would break my game.

Yes I would like to know how the feature works acctually. But from a quick search on "rebellion" on the forum, I only found a handful of short threads on the subject. And in one of them it states the same as you have stated
lord will only rebel if his current relation with the current king (like you) is lower than +10
But from what I understand from that quote is that the lords will not leave me for their old master if i have +10 relation with them.
Yet as I said in the original post, I had around 50 relation with each of the traitor lords.

I know you said to search the forums for the answer, but I can't find any lengthy topics on rebellions.
  2. Defeated kingdoms rising?

Well the only one i could find for rebellion was for 2.005. So that dosn't work i guess. Secondly, I have to manually rewrite stuff in my game to fix it? There isnt some mod to DL for it?
Thirdly, the rebellion has already popped up so would that tweak thingymajing remove the chance for the lords to betray me for no reason?
  3. Defeated kingdoms rising?

So apparently the Kingdom of Gwynedd decided to plop up again, after having been defeated for 3 years. Great, good for them... Now my problem lies with the fact that my most trusted vassals just left en masse. They all had around 50 relation with me, and each and every one of them had negative...
  4. Faction relation drop bug

Still a weird feature that makes very little sense. While I understand that friendly nations might grumble at me for taking their friends prisoner, it is hardly a cause for instant war If i defend my territory and take the culprit prisoner
If the AI had to follow the same rules, it would probably be constant free for all warfare.
  5. Tweaks for Viking Conquest (one for 2.028, others for 2.021, 2.012, 2.010 etc)

Is there a way to remove the relation drops with nations friendly to the nation you are waging war on? Feels rather weird when, after a long period of waging war with the kingdom of Mide and the U'neill, I manage to get a truce with the U'Neill. Only to have them back at war with me 2 days later due to me taking a lord of Kingdom of Mide prisoner, wich caused the U'neill to get -1 relation with me...A.k.a All out war. Respect the truces please people
  6. Faction relation drop bug

Okay I understand none of that code at all.

But I had no idea that was in native, perhaps those factions are not as prone to be friendly towards eachother.

Well if that is the case and it is not a bug, is there someway to remove the hidden relation drops? It just feels like you have to tiptoe around everything when this happens.
Also seems rather weird since the AI does not play by the same rules. These 5 nations at war with me for example, do not get into hostilities with Kingdom of Laithlind, Denmark, Northvrgr or Northumbre when they take one of my lords prisoner. All of whom are on friendly terms with me.
Fine if this happens when you are a bandit, but now I am a king, and should be treated as such

Anyway my question is, Is there anyway to mod the game to remove the relation drops?
  7. Faction relation drop bug

Weird... because i get a hidden drop in relations with some countries when i take a prisoner. For example when i take a prisoner from kingdom of Mide, the text says as usual that i get a relation drop with the lord in question and the Kingdom of Mide, nothing else. But when i check the relation tab in my character window, I then have -1 relation with Tribe of Oisrage, and The U'Neill.

Is there some other info that I could find, that might be helpful to reproduce the case?
  8. Faction relation drop bug

Any update? This is really annoying since it makes it next to impossible to enter into Truce with factions

Could be the lack of right to rule, some kingdoms could feel threatened by you

Could it really be this? It makes sense since I only have 35 right to rule. But there should really be some explanation abut this if this was the case since this does not happen in Native that I can remember. But since the relation drop does not show up in the messages log, I'm still going to assume it's a bug

No Idea if  that works or not, i'm rather dumb at technical stuff.
Since I didnt know which savegame was which I included them all. But the savegame 831 days in is right before I declared war on Kingdom of Mide And 854 days in is where I am currently.

Like we mentioned to you before:

    1) Include your rgl_log.txt (you can find it on your game folder)

    2) You need to inform the devs about your version. Are you playing 2.012?

    3) Include your savegame (post it on Dropbox or similar and add the download link here). Savegames before the event are better, so they can reproduce this

    4) Did you mod/tweak the game in any way?

    5) Windows, Linux or Mac player? Steam ?

    1. Not allowed to post that many characters, and If i need to upload the file see 3.

    2. Yes i'm playing 2.012

    3. I cannot since I don't know howto. Shouldnt be that hard to reproduce though. Take a lord prisoner or free him from captivity and see the relation with other nations go down.

    4. I am playing Vanilla

    5. Windows on Steam
  12. Faction relation drop bug

Hello. This must be a bug, because i see in no way how this is intended to happen. I Declare war on the Kingdom of Mide who has no Allies. After the first battle, nothing weird happens. After the second battle I take one of the lords prisoner. Wich apparently causes a relation drop with the...
  13. Faction relation drop

Yeah I had a casus belli, that's why I attacked

I may just have to do that, but I no longer have a savegame before I lost relations nor have I any idea what rgl_log.txt is
  14. Faction relation drop

Okay so after trying again, I got peace with the tribe of Oisrage. And after a while I declared war on the Kingdom of Mide after a provocation. Now i took a lord prisoner after defending against their campaign army. And then for some reason (still without tooltip btw) it happned again. Now I'm apparently at odds with the U'Neill, Oisrage (whom I still have truce with) and Mide, because of what? this can hardly be the intended mechanic... I can't be expected to have 10+ relation with every nation out there just because I attack one nation.

Would really like an answer on what it could be, Kingdom of Mide and Oisrage are not allies (don't even know if that is a cause for the relation to drop). It feels rather arbitrary for the relation to just "plumet" for no reason whatsoever. There isn't even a tooltip saying that i lost relation with them.
I could live with it if they infact declared war on me, but not this.

    1) make sure you are playing version 2.012

    2) game events that change relations have display messages. You most likely missed it (Warband system is not the easiest to read...)

    3) gain some positive relation with neighbours nations before you start a conquer war. That way you will have a small buffer. Losing 1 point when you have 0 is bad, but losing it when you had +10 is not

    1. Yes I am

    2. Hmm, I checked right before I attacked Dubh Linn, i was at 0 relation. When i came out of the battle and checked the message log there were only messages about relation drop with Oisrage, yet I still had -1 relation with kingdom of Mide.

    3. I guess this is the way to go, thanks
