Just want to specify that I do not remember if she was a daughter or not, just suggesting that could be the problem.

Resolved Companion starting with -SP and no attributes or skills allocated

The characters name is Gerta the Wronged. I know there is a current (bug?) that makes the daughters of the quest givers in villages (the ones you save from the rogue romeo) available when you look at the wanderer page to find companions, but they are usually in a village and non recruitable...

Which leveling system do you prefer Warband or Bannerlord?

Totally wrong, at least I could level up what I wanted in warband, the way it is now in bannerlord i cant level up A until i level up X, Y, and Z because of the hard caps and not being able to increase my focus points to level in anything. So I have to grind smithing or throwing or some skill I dont even use because I am capped out!!
Saying "totally wrong" does not prove you correct, you are arguing a preference not proving mechanics behind cellular respiration. You can level, you just have to pick and chose what you are going to level specifically and the system is currently capped, whether it stays like that or not I don't know but it is preference, not a thing you can call people wrong for. You can however disagree with what I am saying. The system is not broken as of right now after the patches, but it definitely is not going to cater to every single persons preference, as demonstrated.

Which leveling system do you prefer Warband or Bannerlord?

I actually made a thread about this for combat skills not too long ago:

Some people dug around in the game files, and it seems that the calculation for xp does take into account unit level, and you definitely get more xp from a killshot. However, the formula still favors dealing higher damage, and because high level units are armored it seems that the amount of experience you get from fighting a lowly looter is comparable to what you get from an armored unit, if not higher. I observed that myself for the polearm skill in a test.

So it's a bit more complicated than just dealing high damage, but it's definitely looking funky.
Wow man, that is super cool, glad you (or someone) found that. Definitely broken as it stands if that is true.

Cool, so they did take it into account. Now they just need to tweak those numbers and give higher weight to enemy tier than damage, no?

That's not what he meant. The system would be similar to what we have now, except the general character level up would be based on general XP earned instead of number of Skill Points leveled up. You would still level up Trading Skill by doing trading and Polearm Skill by fighting with Polearms and not by allocating Skill Points like in Warband.
This would get rid of many of the quirks of the current system (like you basically having to get better at trading and charm so that you can level up bow skill because if you focus only on bow skill you counter-intuitively are slower to level up bow skill) while keeping the exact same spirit. That's because to get from level 1 to level 2 in bow you need say 300Xp, but to get from level 100 to level 101 you need say 300,000Xp. But that same Xp, bundled together with the Xp you get from all other skills would get uploaded to your general Xp which allows you to level up your character. So you don't get an incentive to leveling up your useless Throwing skill if you're never planning on using throwing weapons, for example.
Right I understand what he means. My issue is that If their goal is to make the game more realistic, that plan is moving in reverse. You are suggesting that by doing random things you can be better at learning something else. I don't like the system of having focus points, and just like OP said the attribute points (as far as I can tell) are a completely redundant and arbitrary things because all they do is add more skill gain...just like the focus points. What you are both suggesting is to make the game leveling system faster by allowing your character to have a level which is something they more or less have removed from the game Though it is an answer, I don't agree that it is the best answer, or to be honest a good one. All that needs to be done at this point is tuning of what they have in place and minor adjustments. I would like to see the focus point system either removed, or to be a little more accessible such as by doing quests for a blacksmith etc giving you more skill gain in that skill. Again, I don't like the focus point system as it stands, but I like it a lot more than a global sp bank that really just makes another warband. I personally feel like they are on the right track and need to sort out what is going on, but if they do what you are suggesting they are just falling back to something old that they did before. Not saying you are wrong, just saying I disagree.

Thats why they need to change only ONE thing to make it perfect.

Make the "global" XP bank that will lvl up you instead of just "rise few skills 100 times to lvl up" Becouse it is obvious that it is more easy to rise skill from 5 to 6 then from 300 to 301. Thats why right now you are super swardsman and archer, but you are throwing axes to looters cos want another lvl up.
I am not disagreeing that something needs to change, but I fully disagree that they should implement global exp into this game from warband, that is just taking something that was broke and adding something broke. They will fix it, but hopefully not like that because now you are leveling up your trading because you were a super swordsman, just as broke as what we have right now.

Leveling up your character decreases your skill learning rate for all skills

It will be THE SAME with global XP bank. Becouse with Lvl up you cant improve your trading, you can only move a focus point to it
. but you still need to trade.
I want to be clear here. You are upset that the game makes you level up a random skill in order to level up the skill you want to level and that is ridiculous, but a global xp bank is acceptable? I really hope they don't implement that again, it worked in 2005, there are better ways now and this one is better, it just needs to be sorted out

Leveling up your character decreases your skill learning rate for all skills

I see a lot of people posting this, and I am going to wager that this is something temporarily implemented by the dev team to release the game on EA. As it stands there is no way that a team with any common sense would ever create a level system like this, it is so blatantly obvious that players will never achieve those high end stats. I think they realize at the moment that the game is very short and underdeveloped as far as content goes. If the player was able to achieve those levels the gameplay would be even shorter lived than it already is...which is short. I imagine that we will see a fix to these issues in the near future when some of these issues like kingdoms going yolo and conquering the map in a few weeks and some implementation of side content. Here is to hoping anyways.

    Suggestion for Captive lords

So I don't know if it is just me but I had 1 fief and every single minor faction (bandit lords) was patrolling the area. I had to execute them all because at any given time there were 8 of them patrolling around Sargot (my town) and when you put them in the dungeon they just escape the next day...

    Village "Family Feud" quest

Haha did this quest for a guy in village A. Sent me to village B to sort out his issue with the family member. The family member did not appreciate my smooth talk and attacked me. Killed his friends and beat him till he submitted and accepted the blood money. Afterwards notice a ! above his crippled body. Speak to him and he asks me to solve a family feud.....This is why people make fun of us that were born in trailer parks

Which leveling system do you prefer Warband or Bannerlord?

To be fair the leveling system wouldn't be so bad if the game had more content. For instance quests to level up blacksmithing by creating X amount of swords or combat by fighting in arena. I think the biggest problem as of right now is that the game itself is entirely too easy once you get past the initial part of being a bum. Once a kingdom starts to get a leg up they steam roll the map with or without your help, and since this game is built around that as a concept, it is essentially over once that happens making the demanding leveling system pretty worthless. In Warband, even if a faction got a leg up, it actually became more difficult because everyone would go to war with you and certain lords would hate you. Here it seems like none of that is implemented as of yet so the more land, the more power. If they were to make the game somehow last longer per playthrough, (a lot longer) or add in more quest type content that independently raised levels slightly faster, it would probably sort it out, either would suffice. As of now, which it is in early access, the leveling system doesn't really fit the game, but I hope they have a plan.

    In game bug, no crash

I am not sure if it is my game file or just an error in coding somewhere but when you fight the bandits in any of the three areas of the city of Jaculan and follow up by waiting for the gang leader to confront you, the following battle will start with you outside the city as if it were a siege...
