Perhaps you can upload your version then?

In mine, shields can take many blows from an Axe (which is fair enough, except even a tiny fur shield can take a lot of hits), and Hammers only knockdown on a character that isn't holding their shield up. Also, in my Mount and Blade, the tiniest shield can stop a fully wound up two handed hammer blow.

Don't forget the black Khergits.

There was a version where they were Terminators, cannot remember exactly which version it was now...Sorely missed bandit types and more explainable in the setting than DK's (Though I would still like them back).

Armagan et al, please spend any time on updates for this game tending to better quests, or something else productive, not worrying about boobies showing with armour.

Heh, indeed, I have even bought PC games where there were NO further patches for it (though they were sorely needed). A largely bug free game is almost unheard of these days. I assume the siege system has been updated? Always a major bugfest when new things are added to a game.

I have bought 4 games from d2d, and the last game was enough for me. The patch was not compatible with my version, the dev said they would make one...now, years later, no patch. Had to hunt around for a bargain bin copy and am finally able to use the patch and mods.

I have heard this happening with a few other games too. Not many to be sure, but the possibility that the one I buy again has this happen is enough for me to steer clear.

I know it will be asked, so the game was Temple of Elemental Evil.

Makes sense. Virtually every game has it packed in these days. "Do you wish to install Direct X?"

It is a tad funny that nothing has come to light yet. I came on here thinking maybe an official message would be posted by now, or some such thing.

the reason Armagan doesn't want to release it here yet is because it will be free to download, which mean it will be easy-er for people to pirate the game

at least having to buy  the final version enclines the buyer not to pirate the thing because they actually payed for it

I already paid for it many years ago.

I have a key that allows me to activate the full version, this was paid for as I assume it would be the case for anyone who purchased it here. Can I then download the game at one of these other venues and just use my key?

Then where is the download here? I thought the only reason the wait was on was because of the boxed copies? A more cynical person than I might think they were hoping many of the community without patience would break and pay again for a download.

Honestly? How ungrateful can you be? Do you realize that the only income this game was making was from a small number of online sales at a reduced price? What you've said is a shame to all members of this community. We've supported this small, indepedent development, some of us for years, some only for days, and you manage to do nothing but criticise when the biggest moment in this game's development comes around. What would Armagan think, if he logged in to the forums, went in to this topic, and read your post? After the years of his Ipek's work, and the others in the small development team, what would be going through their minds as they read your stupid post? To be doing something you love for years and years, and then to finally show it to the world, and then all you get is some nitwit jackoff who can't even support the people who made the game he plays...

Hmm, if I were Armagan I would probably think "Wow, my fans are so keen to get their hands on what I have made...Unbelievable!" and would then apologise for the slip-up regarding the lack of communication as to what is happening.

I tend to agree that it really isn't a big deal at the end of the day, however, the fact that people are so angry, etc, is more due to the fact that they love the game rather than anything evil and personal. In a way, the vitriol is a childish emotional outburst and can be seen as a compliment more than an insult.

If you had made Mount and Blade, would you prefer everyone not caring that the game wasn't released on time? Would it be better for you if everyone just said "ho hum, it will be out one day" and went back to doing something else? I would much prefer the current outbursts that show many people are tragic about getting hold of the game than silence and apathy. Besides, most of the ranters are probably very young. Would you get insulted by a kid whinging about this to your face?  I truely hope you wouldn't. As far as I can see, you are the only person who has made a personal attack at this moment.

The lack of communication is rather silly though, especially when he should know how rabid some of his fans are. A blessing and a curse.

Edit: I just realised that The Witcher enhanced will be ready for download on the 19th as well. I only have one computer to download with. Hmmm.
