    GGs guys

Grats to BkS and GA too

Holy ****. I thought that was a insurmountable round 1 lead to be honest.
  2. SF vs Wappaw 8/25

Thought you guys did a very good job imo. I really like the combination of inexperienced enthusiasm and Rhade's monotone knowledge.

Of I know, but I wanted to wax on a bit about how I think Wappaw has done in the last few weeks, so I seized on the most dramatic line you had and ran with it.

In fact if anything, the reviews and PR's have been overly generous to teams, building up for the most part over all. But in my opinion it makes the community a much nicer place to inhabit, so I'm all for it. I certainly didn't think you were being harsh or taking a different opinion then I have.

EDIT: damn you IPhone! almost impossible to hit the right buttons on!

  5. UNAC Power Rankings Discussion

RedKnight here with his frequent and very biased "Wappaw Report" to comment and expand on Kherven's power ranking.

I don't see Wappaw entering "the gates of hell", that is a little ominous for my taste. Our schedule has indeed been relatively easy to this point. However Balion and GA have recently shown that matches against midtier teams can still be real tests. Wappaw didn't start this tournament in 6th, we have taken it, over some very solid teams and notable names. I doubt many in the community would have ranked us over KOA or even SF week 1.

In week 5 and 6, largely unnoticed I believe that Wappaw has passed two critical tests. We won two matches, one against a very talented and capable SF without me. I felt prior to week 5 that I was the key to much of our success, both winning matches and securing maximum rounds. Of course we have others: green, blade and salted to play the same role, and of course it is only a single role in a team of them. But I felt we won when I succeeded, we lost when I dropped early.

Against GKR Wappaw didn't need me to win, though my own ego thinks I could have helped win a few more rounds  However I was a bit nervous about SF, and the solid, clean (though not lopsided from what Ive heard) win demonstrates that Wappaw is the same powerful team with or without me. Those matches are proof that Wappaw is more then the sum of its parts, and we have depth.

Secondly with those wins we have beaten every team ranked below us in Kheven's power rankings. The rankings are subjective of course, but in all likelihood there will be no rematches with those teams. Rankings are always subjective, but I don't feel those teams can be cleanly ranked above us, or have real chances to catch us in points this season. That allows us to focus, we don't have to look behind us and worry. No one thinks we deserve a spot any higher, so really we have nothing to lose and everything to gain now.

This is not "the gates of hell", this is a land of opportunity.

  8. UNAC Power Rankings Discussion

I agree with Kherven that we are pretty strongly  a solid 6th right now still. I expect our SF match should be seen as the battle for the title of best mid-tier team. However I believe that both of our squads have the ability to tighten up our play and push for a top four berth. When we play GA the following week it will be our real chance to prove we belong with the top tier teams. If we win Wappaw should be considered a legitimate top four contender. If we lose a relatively close match we can prove that while we remain in the 6/7 slot (depending on the SF match) the difference between the top 4/5 and 6/8 slots is not insurmountable and could be relatively fluid. If Wappaw is blown out, it will be evidence to me that UNAC is effectively a five horse race.

Further personally I would switch Balion to fifth and BKs to fourth respectively. I think that the last few weeks have shown a marked improvement in BKs. Their round one loss certainly placed the breaks on a number of high expectations for their performance. But they seem on the ascent exactly as Balion's play seems to be deteriorating. Now I would be the first to admit that a single match, or a few weeks of scores matches against different teams is hardly enough to place a sure judgement. But it seems to me when you have one team slumping, the other rising and they met directly we can take that score as a benchmark for their ranking, at least for the time being.

"Don't expect Redknight or other Wappaw cav players to be able to bail them out as the inexperience on these maps will hurt cav play; both teams will learn on inf more this week" -Yep.

Also Snoop, the fact that you don't care doesn't mean it's ok.

It's just really bad form to insult someone on a stream, even if it is a joke. And if you are joking, you really should just make it clear that you were joking around.

    I agree completely.
  12. UNAC Review with Gelden

Rhade with the perfect match score for Wappaw-Rebels! how does he do it!

+1 for enjoying reading the predictions. I was alt tabbed reading Eternal's after XLS shot me in the head during the scrim.

    He`s right tho.

Nah, I don't particularly enjoy agreeing with Mok but it this case I think I will. Rhade has a very troll-like inclination to **** on anyone who does not play or enjoy the game exactly as he does (and then **** on anyone not as good as he is in those metrics too). In the abstract he is correct that K/D is largely irrelevant to the actual match results (in what I assume he means by "competitive warband"- whatever that is exactly). So Mok expresses his excitement and happiness about getting into the top ten kills even though his team lost. And Jesus Christ we can't have someone having fun or enjoying any aspect of the game that is not exactly what Rhade thinks is important- lucky for us he was able to ride to the rescue to tell everyone how bad they are.

News flash, there are a number of teams in the tournament that don't have a very good chance to be in the top four. If you want to see those teams and their players stick around and gasp have fun you need not to **** on them when they try to salvage fun out of losing. And if someone says they enjoyed something you don't think is important, you can let your silence speak for you, instead of being a giant ****.

Edit: In before someone counters my post with how bad I am.
  15. **** POM!

    Bohemond of Antioch 说:
I think that we are referring to two different definitions of the term right. You are thinking of a geometric definition, the right must be  perpendicular and thus a 90 degree turn. I am referring to the relative direction usage of the term. Thus the body is bisected vertically ( not literally of course ), the left and the right. Anything that is on the right side of the body is right. To use cardinal directions to define relativity, If one was facing north, then anything to the east would be on his right. That is inclusive to a 90 degree, or directly eastward, turn, but not limited to it ( such as south-east, north-east, etc). By the geometric definition right must be 90 degrees, however i argue that in this case the relative direction would be more useful.

edit: This is so much more useful than arguing about tks and nonsense.

I think you should be banned from POM too. In fact I'll trade you for Rhade.
