RedKnight here with his frequent and very biased "Wappaw Report" to comment and expand on Kherven's power ranking.
I don't see Wappaw entering "the gates of hell", that is a little ominous for my taste. Our schedule has indeed been relatively easy to this point. However Balion and GA have recently shown that matches against midtier teams can still be real tests. Wappaw didn't start this tournament in 6th, we have taken it, over some very solid teams and notable names. I doubt many in the community would have ranked us over KOA or even SF week 1.
In week 5 and 6, largely unnoticed I believe that Wappaw has passed two critical tests. We won two matches, one against a very talented and capable SF without me. I felt prior to week 5 that I was the key to much of our success, both winning matches and securing maximum rounds. Of course we have others: green, blade and salted to play the same role, and of course it is only a single role in a team of them. But I felt we won when I succeeded, we lost when I dropped early.
Against GKR Wappaw didn't need me to win, though my own ego thinks I could have helped win a few more rounds

However I was a bit nervous about SF, and the solid, clean (though not lopsided from what Ive heard) win demonstrates that Wappaw is the same powerful team with or without me. Those matches are proof that Wappaw is more then the sum of its parts, and we have depth.
Secondly with those wins we have beaten every team ranked below us in Kheven's power rankings. The rankings are subjective of course, but in all likelihood there will be no rematches with those teams. Rankings are always subjective, but I don't feel those teams can be cleanly ranked above us, or have real chances to catch us in points this season. That allows us to focus, we don't have to look behind us and worry. No one thinks we deserve a spot any higher, so really we have nothing to lose and everything to gain now.
This is not "the gates of hell", this is a land of opportunity.
