Pathetic.  Will be used?  You are just scrapping by at this point. What do you even have that resembles half of finished product?  Another week,  same old story. This does not deserve a blog. Nothing in the past weeks does.

" I do not understand why they do not do this, yet they allow every 0 tier player record footage in conventions."

Your guess is as good as mine. Alot of what they do makes no sense, yet they still have a following that's willing to put up with it, as people are reminiscent of what they have achieved with Warband.

I stopped looking for reason where there is none. If they can get away with no new info and no new videos, streams or new details, than this trend will continue. The number of people that complain is not enough to warrant change.

What they do not understand is that there are some very basic things in general when it comes to footage. By allowing clueless press only to release videos that automatically degrades the quality of gameplay to new players. Not because the players are only bad, but because due to the lack of skill, the viewer does not get exposed to the possible creativity that is allowed in the game. And I do not know how they are not aware of things like these. As an example, I will give you 2 videos from a game called Dishonored. See the massive difference:

    IGN playing the game

    High creativity, high skill run

Based on footage alone, which one is better and would inspire you to play the game?

Ending this discussion about how TW is handling the whole thing, I still believe they should do a stream, even if its not on new things. And if you think so too, voice your opinion.

Well, those that know what Bannerlord is all about, will just cringe and look for what info they can get. Those that have no clue at what Bannerlord is, will just watch the video and like it or not. Most of the people also read the video comments and see that others dislike the way the in game avatar is being handled. They can get an idea that the game can be much more.

I guess they let everyone record and post these videos as it as build made specifically for a game convention, in which they can select what gets shown to the public. Maybe they do not deem necesary to put all the effort into another video, as for them the one showed at Gamescom is considered to be full of details and still fresh.

I will end my rant, as it's off-topic and will not go anywhere. However, I do agree with what you have said above. They should show or tell us stuff, alot more. Nothing compares to a well put up video made by the developer to explain new things or what they have been working on.

That is my point: there is nothing more to discuss about blood, or any other trivialities that have been mentioned in these blog posts, that people do not already know about.

That is why I see blog related discussions, 90% of the time, as being futile. There is nothing new or inticing to talk about, except those rare ocassion when new info is given. They have so many other things to talk about, yet they choose not to.

What do you believe happens when they release a blog such as this one? I presumme they just limit themselves to keeping the thread civil, as there is nothing more to add to it. What's the point of people discussing these barren developer posts?

Wouldn't a clearer message from the community be that they are tired of rehasses and not comment on these at all? Wouldn't that send a different message?

There is no use in demanding new info or asking for a stop of rehashed content. They have a clear intent of keeping silent due to their fear of community backlash regarding missed deadlines than they are of people complaining about product delivery date or old content.

There is no use in asking them to change this, as 2016-17 seems to have scarred them in terms of broken promises, as I see it. Callum will just release what he is allowed by upper management and is probably scrapping what little he can in order to deliver the weekly blog. There is no use in feeling offended or bashing the keyboard asking for an explanation as to where they stand. They will simply not say. All you can do is just read what they release and close the window.

Discussions will always be a part of the community, but you are a community of a game that they develop and for which they release details as they see fit. They may read on it and agree to some extent to what you are saying, but this will not change the fact that the game is not ready. Development progress is of no importance as long as it is not in a state that they are comfortable with sharing. Are they making a mistake? Probably. To what degree, we can only speculate. Has the game missed it's opportunity of releasing to a greater hyped audience? They know better. I for one stopped carring for these empty blogs a long time ago, like so many others, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter and they do not care.

It will not result in a deviance of their set path: the game is being probably made, re-made, re-envisioned, polished, re-polished. They know what is going on and asking that they stop bringing a perfect game is futile. Once a boulder is pushed downhill, it's path will not stop unless it runs it's course. Which i pressume is the launch date, be it successful or not. Defending Taleworlds or picking up the pitchforks in rebellion will have the same outcome.

    There is no TL;DR. Sorry
