  1. SP - World Map Minor factions with One city and/or castle

    Heres a Map I made. My photoshop expired so had to use a lesser program but its the general idea.

    It includes:
    >sea routes between
    -Aserai and Western/Southern Kingdom
    -Sturgia and a minor Nordic faction
    -Vlandia and a minor faction
    -Sturgia and Northern Empire
    >Minor kingdoms
    -African
    -East Asian (Chinese or Japanese)(Tang dynasty or Nara/Heian)
    -Mediterranean kingdom (Greeks or Second Bulgarian Kingdom)(A trade kingdom)
    -A native American kingdom or Irish kingdom off the coast of Vlandia?
    >Misc
    -A cultural quest for Battania that involves going to a shrine in the middle of the lake and doing some kind of ritual

    The whole idea I have with the minor factions is that they offer an early game conflict or variety to the map. The player could easier take on the minor kingdom instead of facing a major faction. Its kind of like City states in Civ V. Or they could provide incentive for early game conflicts if major factions declare war on them.

    They can also each have a unique trade item made nowhere else, a unique troop. It could also be designed that instead of creating a new city, you can take some already created citys I included in the map and convert them into the minor faction

    Another Idea I have is to have minor and major cities. A major city could be one per major faction, that has a larger layout and the minor citys could produce less so to make the minor faction not as important.

    Open to suggestions or to only one element of this idea within the game!

    +1 I think we could place minor factions or continuations of factions off shore onto islands like West of Vlandia or the two islands north of Aserai

    Im not sure about sea battles but definitely boats. I also made a thread with the idea of a ferry between Southern Empire and Aserai to the two islands in between with a castle/city on them that starts off as a neutral third party or part of each respective kingdom

    I do not like how far I have to travel around to reach Aserai, especially for trade. I think it would be a good system to have a ferry connecting the cities of Qasira and Vostrum or maybe to the island in the middle which could be a neutral faction that has docks on both sides that connects the...
  6. SP - World Map A follow party option

    +1 Just makes it easier to follow carvans and maybe some other nobles you want to impress by helping them in battle.

    +1 This is something that I have wanted from the beginning. We see this in Total War and it just adds another layer to battles

    +1 This is true. In addition, they could perhaps pool voice talent from the community and weed throw to find good actors to save on money.

    +1 Yea I really dont see a reason to join a faction. Which is the underdog? What politics/ideals do they support? Why should they rule the land?

    I do miss the feature in Warband where you could go up to another lord and suggest a course of action such as: -Follow Me -We should attack here etc I understand raising armys is sort of supposed to supplant this but I think in certain instances its warranted to guide the AI early on if you...
