You can always go off to war by yourself.  Its not like your allied lords help out anyways.  Just keep taking towns or castles until the king grants one to you if you want.  Also Im not sure if this is in F&S or not.  I know it was in previous titles but you could go around asking lords for tasks and before there used to be one where a lord asks you to do stuff to force the faction into war.    Anyone know if this is in F&S or not?

1.  When you buy troops from the company commander in a town think of it as an order.  You have to come back a couple days later to pick the troops up.  coppers are thalers.  Like saying bucks instead of dollars i guess.

2. Go conquer towns or castles.  If you win the siege you get the option to ask for ownership or do nothing.  If you ask for ownership you have to wait for a while for the king, khan or whoever is running the faction you are a part of to think about it.  He will either grant you ownership or grant it to someone else and pay you i think 1200 thalers for your expenses while taking over the town or castle.

3.  it could be a bug not sure.  Best i can say is make sure you are up to date with 1.41 patch.    (Correction 1.141 is the latest patch)

I could see that being annoying.  I only have 2 towns and it drives me a little crazy.  I don't have any idea on how to fix it but i am interested in a solution.

renounce your oath to the sweeds and take on the world to form your own little rebel kingdom or take up the quest with the wannabe ruler of the sweeds.

Yeah same here.  You almost have to have some sort of notpad in front of you just to keep everything straight. 

I think it is worth the money.  I mean come on its $15.  Good luck taking the old lady out to the movies for that much and that only lasts a couple hours.  I'm sure you can get a lot more time out of F&S than that. 

There were alot of issues when it was released and there are still a few things that need ironed out but they are addressing the issues and taking alot of info and suggestions from here on the forums (which is like a breath of fresh air.  Its been a long time since ive seen a dev team actually putting this much time on the forums trying to get ideas on how to improve the game.)  We have been continuously assured that they will be adding alot of the "extras" from warband that were not in M&B.  Basically as it stands F&S is more like M&B than warband it just has firearms and a couple extra gameplay options that were not in either of the previous releases.  However in my opinion it is a definite yes to picking it up.

It would also come in handy when trading.  if you find town or castle that pays premium you could write it down on your in game notepad or even call it a journal.  That way its always with you.

Mid game I get most of my troops by taking out enemies who have captives.

I find myself doing this too.  It at least keeps me on the warpath for a while.  When i see that the ranks of some of my better troops are a tad low then i go refill at a town or merc camp but for the most part i get replacements from enemy prisoners too.

Lol that has got to be one of the most ridiculous thread titles i have read in a loooooong time.  Thank you for the laugh.

I agree however you can save up your prisoners and take them to the slave trader for a little better profit.  Depending on where you are on the map it could be a little haul to get to one but the prices are alot better.  instead of $12 i think I'm averaging like $50-60 and i have even sold off a couple for $200 ea.  Anymore i just stockpile my prisoners in my town until i have enough to make a good haul and i might get a $1000 or so out of the trip.  In the grand scheme of things that isn't that much but it pays for the food for my army for a week or 2 so every little bit helps.

Also i like your ideas nox and hope to see them added to the game.  The more options for stuff to do the longer the game will last.  One can only hunt down a murderer in a village so many times before the novelty wears off.

I agree running out of ammo and gernades during a battle but i didnt mind paying the high cost for the items if i didnt have to buy them again before each battle.  Also i do have one question.  I havnt equiped my companions with gernades yet but i was thinking about it.  Would i have to resupply them after every battle too or do they auto fill after like ammo and arrows?

faction sweeds
Black armor, hand crafted armet, thick jackboots and armored gloves.

Horse rotation but normally thoroughbred from town center

Double dutch with 1 large bag heavy bullets & hand crafted version of claymore and shield or nade for siege

Open battle replace shield or nade with 2nd large bag of heavy bullets and swap sword to hand made demascus steel saber or a high end mace when i need to fill the ranks of my prison. 

Also im currently switching the double dutch and ammo up with a bow and arrows to build up skills in archery when im bored.  And on that note i think its pretty cool that you can now shoot a bow and still hold your shield.  I dont remember that in warband or was it in a later patch?

It would also be nice if you could hire your own merc party that would follow you around like your own little vassal.  That way even if you want to be a rebel you could have an army or 2 of mercs fighting for you that are not directly in your army.  That way you wouldnt have to rely on lords coming helping you conquer the world and considering their track records of following orders..........
